i m not a Jain but i m indian and i know somewhat about them, since i m not a jain i cannot entirely tell what they stan for and represent. But from my learnings their main moto amd message is, all life is precious, and every living being has a right to live, and we must respect all life and not kill any. Therfore they they dont eat any form of meat, and about the things that grow underground, it is becuz when you harvest carrots or root vegetables, you end up killing the plant for it's the food. But they can eat fruits which does not kill or harm the tree that grows it. hope this information helps.

Don't complain about dice. There is a very good reason why even in the Pentagon they still use dice rolls for their actual wargames to figure out how to fight wars. At the most basic reason it simulates chaos. Fog of war, orders be lost, not being recieved, comms being Jammed, vehicles getting stuck in the mud, etc. Dice are completely appropriate for these games.
