Why is the formula for finding the area of a triangle 1/2 * base * height? Where does the 1/2 come from? This video explains the relationship between triangles, rectangles, and parallelograms - clearly illustrating where the area of a triangle formula comes from.

I'm just multiplying base times height, like it's a square , then just divide that by 2 since this is a triangle. Way less math.
