Great video. Thank you. Another note to viewers: If you buy this Forster 3 in 1 trimmer, before you use it, tighten all of the small allen bolts on it. I didn't and noticed that it wasn't set up correctly. Maybe the blades weren't correctly set in the factory or maybe they moved on my first case. Regardless, Forster claims the angles are correctly set in the factory and they charge you to reset them if you send it in to them. Also, my pilot came out after the first few cases. Not cool Forster!

Great video: My experience with trimming has been that many or most new cases I have purchased (mostly in the .22 caliber range) are already too short to require trimming to the proper length. In other words, they don't need to be trimmed to make them shorter. Can the Forster accomplish chamfering without shortening the cases?

+Hotstixlix No, it will chamfer or deburr while also trimming the length. You right most new cases come below max or trim to length. However, after they have been resized (hand loaded) several times they will stretch requiring trimming. In my experience, for bolt guns I neck size only and the primer pocket will wear out before they will need trimming. Full length sizing cases stretches the brass much more requiring more trimming of the length. For semi-auto loads i will just set up the trimmer and run them all through it ( to me that's quicker than measuring each one) if it's long it gets trimmed if not it will not trim it at all. So in a since I use it like a Go-No-Go gauge.

Would have been nice to see the quality of finish it leaves on case mouth and coal with micrometer in your video. I bought L.E Wilson trimmer before seeing this one in action, I would agree with you in the time saving statement you made it is quite soul destroying preparing brass for reloading.

Sorry I didn't show that. It does a good job though, never any problems. I now use the RCBS prep center so this setup is no longer used. Thanks for watching.

Yes it looks quicker again. Hard to make decisions some times as what equipment is best for you without being able to try first.

It's not Forester (forest-er) - it's Forster (4-ster)

never have to trim again? I wouldn't say never.... unless you use an X die to FL size. I have an X die and if I remember correctly, the instruction say eventually have trim, but not for a long time.
