Not gonna lie. Most impactful scene in HIMYM. The thing that hurts the most is when they zoom out and show Ted alone in his new building that is the same height as the Empire State (which is his lifelong dream) and just on the other side there's the WWN building where his best friend and the woman he loved (at that time) just got engaged. Because you see at the end no matter how tall that building is or was. What Ted always wanted was another thing entirely. Something that Marshal and Lily already has. Seriously I love the series so much.

The first thing that comes to everyone's mind is Barney and Robin but I can't help but picture Ted looking out the window feeling empty.

Sometimes it is just pure pain watching himym. The nostalgia just kills me and I somehow feel depressed. If a TV series creates feelings like that then you know its more than just a TV series ❤

How I met Your Mother is my favorite show of all time and one of the only shows that can make me cry and laugh hysterically in the same episode. I Cried when this song was playing on that scene and I'm Proud of it.

I love how i met your mother and i watched this episode with this song 10 times now... and i still love it! I can pray something wholehearted... my future wife will hear this song when i propose to her, this moment will be unforgettable!

I was going through a bad period of substance abuse back in 2015-16 and every time I hear this song, I’m taken back to all those nights where I watched this show and felt sorry for myself as I ruined relationships and pushed the girl I had feelings for away. Nobody knew I was in trouble and I kept it that way. HIMYM was the companion that kept me sane and alive and for that I will always be grateful. But this song always reminds me of both how far I have come and how happy I found out I was capable of being.

8 years ago I made an ass of myself chasing after a girl and I made an ass of myself chasing after her a bunch of times since then and I have no regrets because it led me something that I wouldn't trade for the world- it led to her being my friend.

Today i lost my best friend because i told her i love her, she was something else and i dont know how to make sense of it, i heard this song and i felt like it will make sense eventually.

I didn't mind the finale all too much. It's a painful reminder that even love, in the case of Barney and Robin, doesn't always last. I like that the writers did something original instead of going for a happy ever after. And yes, I was totally rooting for the marriage, I cried during this song.

This song reminds me that there is hope. During the worst bouts of depression I played it constantly. The words touched my heart. It did not cure me obviously (meds and therapy helped) but this song was a tiny flicker of hope and sometimes that's enough to get through one more day.
