Today's journey took me and my buddy Nick to the beautiful Fort George Inlet, a spot we were hoping would be teeming with catches, especially with live shrimp as our bait of choice. We set up near the mystical rocks on the east side, under the bridge, ready for what we hoped would be a day full of action.

It seems like like it's been bad fishing in Jacksonville lately (onshore) I've been to my spots where I normally at least catch one good fish every time I go but now I can't even get a bite

Fishing in Jax isn't like what it used to be like in the 1980's and 1990's when I first came here. Back then, the little jetties and big jetties, you were guaranteed to catch fish and good species. Now you have to work hard to find the fish and your chances of getting skunked at those locations are high. It's the population growth, urban development and dredging that has ruined it.
