my playtime on festival has basically doubled since they added the controller support for pro mode. I may be a bit crazy for playing pro mode with a dualshock 4 instead of just buying a plastic guitar, but it's been a lot of fun anyway. i'm hopeful the engine fixes will come with the next season, or at least very soon after. No support for legacy controllers still sucks, but fortunately they've been consistent with pumping out new songs every week. I try to play every chart available for each song so that will always keep me busy. I'm honestly kind of shook at the day when they do support legacy controllers at this point, ngl lol.

Competitively, i get why they wipe the leaderboards at the end of each season, but i hate when they wipe personal records on songs. Other than that, festival pretty rocks.

dev blog came out and said the season update is indeed fixing the timing issue we're so back

Season 3, despite being short, was a banger season for songs. My only issue with the song selections this time around was the heavy focus on one artist each week. Many of them (specifically TØP, Post Malone, and Ariana Grande) would often take up half or most of the week's drop with their own songs, and those weeks were less interesting than they could've been as a result. I don't mind it every now and then, but we should have much bigger drops if that's gonna happen (8 songs minimum). I'm the most hyped for Metallica's season, as well as battle stage and jam tracks becoming playable in the lobby next update! And as for what I want to see in the future, Daft Punk for the Festival pass would be insanely cool, and I really think we should have more underground artists getting songs in Festival (examples include Magdalena Bay, George Clanton, Jeff Rosenstock, etc.). Adding smaller artists to Fortnite would help them get more listeners, while also giving players the opportunity to discover more incredible music in the process. Why limit yourself to only the biggest artists? You're barely scratching the surface with them, and some of them often stop taking risks after achieving their mainstream status (usually thanks to their labels wanting their music to be radio friendly/trendy). Dragonforce wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for TTFAF getting added to Guitar Hero, so Festival should try and support underappreciated talent as well! Hopefully the issues with pro mode and the Riffmaster get sorted out soon, and here's to an incredible Season 4!

I think they acknowledged the problem with holding down the keys before you strum and are going to fix it in this next update

about the character bouncing animations, it was probably unintentional at first, since the character would just bounce without any animations whatsoaever, but later down they added animations for the jumping, so i think it might be a case of something that was unintentional at first, but became an actual feature. (kinda like rocket ride in fortnite br)

Watching this after the Metallica season has arrived. If I could have anything, any one thing. It would be a festival season for the strokes. And now seeing that they are willing to put multiple band members in one pass. They could easily do it for the strokes.

Festival season 4 is looking to be the biggest season of Festival because there is gonna be the Battle Stage mode and Jam Tracks will be usable as lobby music and Fortnite is getting the first icon series Jam track and it is gonna be Nickeh30's Never Give Up song which will also be lobby music

Just might be obscure asf but imagine they do a season where you can jam out anime songs from popular shows like dragon ball, MHA, JJK etc

I love how the new modes are getting regular updates then Rocket Racing is rotting on the corner with a single piece of bread having been giving a single update

So we got official info on the battle mode and its much more simple than people though...so its a 16 person battle royal where each round it will pick a random song from the featured songs of that day...and each round the people with the lowest four scores will be eliminated and it continues till only one person remains ...we don't know if thier are power ups all we do know is you can attack people and the person who got attacked will have thier multiplier decreased by what seems to be x2 on hit. That's all we know about it for now till it comes out Tomorrow.

I hope Skillet gets a Festival season. That would be so cool. Their songs have a lot of variety. All the super-fans (like myself) would buy all the songs and people who don't usually get exposed to them would see them, so it's a win-win.

I hope they have a devil may cry collab sometime. Cuz they’d have sick skins AND banger songs with lots of layers to it so every part of the band actually gets to have fun

Yeah, I have a Mad Catz RB4 guitar and I hate using it so much, but I play on PS5, so it's the only compatible guitar controller I own. Maybe if they fix the timing issue, I'll reinstall it on my PC so I can try playing it with my 360 les paul.

Pro drums do have difficulty charts in the files now!! It's not fully implemented though, even with the new season

I got a ps4 within this season, so the jump from 30 fps on switch to 60 fps has made me really enjoy festival (I wish if a certain watch dogs 2 game stopped taking up my time) i would play it more, as a rock band guy its cool were getting metallica and i would like more 70s and 80s songs in festival

I'd love to see Less Than Jake make an appearance at some point. I'm not necessarily looking for a whole season, but a couple jam tracks would be nice. One of their songs appeared on the vehicle radio briefly back in Chapter 3, and I'm still holding out hope they'll reappear in game at some point.

3:10 first video I clicked on and got my answer. Went straight to youtube to make sure I wasn't going crazy or my wii guitar wasn't working properly. Glad they finally added pro mode for other guitars though, played on my sideways keyboard but still have the annoying note bug this way too obviously. Will be sticking with playing on my keyboard stepmania style non pro mode. Really don't want to mess up my normal guitar hero/clone hero playing by powering through and relearning my way around this note issue. Once they fix that we'll be all set.(us pc players anyway since we have joytokey to use any controller)

Only started playing fortnite's rock band mode and i'm sort of sticking to pro bass. I'm decent at it definitly not a pro but I did get top 200 on a song (might of been Don't fear the reaper) on expert dificulty

3:15 now that i think about it maybe it cant handle that, i play on switch so i just thought it was a switch problem but times when i would deploy overdrive on a set of hold notes it would cancel the note and luckily that doesnt break your combo but im still not getting the points. man maybe they should fix that

Aerosmith, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Muse, and Rush would be interesting for Fortnite Festival. Also, I hope we can see PDP Riffmasters come to physical stores and see competitors as well.

I do have to give a big thank you to Epic for listening to the community and adding keyboard binds to Pro mode so the current community solutions via adapters and modded guitars can just work with Festival on every platform! My initial reaction to Pro mode's release was the about the same as yours; that day was NOT fun. So its fantastic that they listened and just let us use our existing methods to play this new mode. I do agree that more native support for legacy instruments would make things much more accessible, but unfortunately Epic has lots of legal hoops to jump through to make that happen, in addition to making it work technically inside Fortnite. Thankfully community members like Sanjay900 and Emma provide the community with software to solve these problems so we don't have to wait!

I see people saying "this will never happen" but mine definitely won't. I just would like them to add a movement of some symphony (no soloist) or a concerto (which has a soloist). I know it is weird but there is so much good classical music out there not many know about. A GEM is Scriabin's piano concerto in F# minor 3rd movement which lasts less than master of puppets. Tbh I don't think i should hope for that, but when they collaborated with the LSO (London Symphony Orchestra) for cantina band something sparked 😅

Hey, there is 100% a pattern to the censorship. Let me explain it to you. Basically, in some regions, you are allowed 1 swear per song/videogame of that type so 1 shit then you can use bitch or something too but once you say bitch bitch then its a no. So when they license out music, if the artist has a version with only 1 swear, they use that. However, if they don't have a version with 1 swear epic, it uses the radio edit for it. This is because Epic doesn't make original cuts of these songs with custom censorship, probably because it's too expensive or something.

Man I love Festival but damn do I hate that I have to basically choose if I'm playing Battle Royale or Festival for the next month-

I'm gonna be honest when I say I do not enjoy the Riffmaster much, sometimes after breaks in the songs it just forgets to let you push buttons. The tilt to activate overdrive vs a dedicated button for it was just an odd choice.

I've really been enjoying the mode. It's been very nice to have a classic GH/RB game again. My real complaint so far is actually the battle mode. They seem to have a pretty small setlist so you're just playing the same few songs all the time. I'd get it if it was all Metallica or rock songs but they have Just Dance in there, so idk man. I feel like you could have just added all the songs and gave the event songs more priority than the others. It's nice to play Master of Puppets, maybe not for the 8th game in a row.

I would love to see several British artists, like Take That and George Ezra, though I would especially love to see a Rick Astley season, not only because the rickroll is iconic, but because most of his songs are great.

My biggest hopes for season s in the future is a pass for Gorillaz, Soundgarden, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Van Halen, and Foo Fighters

My main problem with Festival is the UI, I really don't like that the notes come from the back instead of the top or bottom and the bar notes are the worst note types ever, why not arrows or circles, they need to add a feature to customize your UI. Another thing they need to improve is the charting, it genuenly is horrible if you don't play on Pro Lead or Bass. And when will they fix the goddamn Keybind bug? Custom Keybinds just randomly change and you will have to completely reset all your keybinds

i would've so loved to see more songs by billie in this season.. that's kinda been one of my main issues with the passes and featured artists, they don't have enough songs for them!! like we got a maroon 5 song in the pass and ONE (1) billie song, they really should try and increase the number of songs by the specific artist they're featuring also if we ever get a paramore season that's probably the ONLY time i'm buying the festival pass. still way too expensive for what you get comparatively to other passes in the game but oh my God i love paramore imagine we get a decode jam track 😩😩
