Not a good way to trade imo. Yes when you look back on the previous hours and days everything might look nice and fall into the picture, But in real time the bollinger bands are not gonna be that useful because they will easily move up and down based on the market movements.

It is a good way to trade. There's millionaires that got their money from mean reversion using Bollinger bands. However, it's not as easy as just taking trades blindly when it hits the upper or lower. It's like any strategy and/or indicator. It's not for taking entries blindly. No good trader takes signals on it's own. Usually combining 3 signals along with knowing what the market is currently doing - trending/ranging. Combining a Bollinger band tag, with a divergence, and a reversal candle for example might be a good trade entry.

What's the accuracy of this strategy

This is a scalping strategy. So accuracy is not the key factor here, the quick entries and exits matters more. If you observe closely markets tends to stay in range most of the time, so this strategy which uses the idea of mean reversion works well enough. Hope your doubt is solved.

Most indicators are lagging in nature except for a few momentum indicators. It is always a good idea to make use of price action for early predictions.
