I'm a little disappointed that I have to drive my stock Nissan around for hours until I can build it for drift

Not exactly hours upon hours, within about 6 races you can have it to level 25

This new way makes almost no sense. I race the career, and by the last race in that series, at most i have is level 20 before i have to switch the car and do a new series ..you have no chance for upgrades to race unless i decice to do a few test drives or races with the car before i come back into career mode. Not nearly enough progression. Im halfway through the races and not 1 car even had close to all upgrades the car offers

I mainly race in private lobbies to a specified list of cars and set PI. This new system is a pain.

I personally don’t get why people hate on the new system, you have to learn the car before you can upgrade it, that makes sense. You get a feel for the car. Good example is the mx5 challenge where you start off with some slow car and by the time you do the 5th race you’ve learnt how to handle it and can have a car on stock tyres and put all the points into power and still overtake racers on race tyres

@jackdearlove3422 I agree. I personally like the new system, but I will admit that it's not perfect. It seems they were going for a real world approach of learning where your car needs improvement instead of dumping credits into a car you've never driven, getting all of the upgrades, and hope that you can control it. The problem is that many people who now pay Forza have come from the Horizon series, which is more like need for speed than a Motorsports Racer. People want this to be something it's not intended, and I think that's the disconnect.

I just wanna buy a car and put race tyres and brakes on so it doesnt handle like a whale, like a normal person would. Its so stupid you have to drive a car on road tyres and brakes on a track for hours.

Most people on trackdays are running the equivalent of sport tyres and street brakes

They did it this way so someone cant just max a car out immediately yes it sucks but it forces you to familiarize yourself with each vehicle you want and somewhat learn to drive it then feel the progression forward for power and speed so far i have some pretty nasty cars that are posting better times then even some of the hardest ai and i do it with 90% of the settings turned off i keep stability on traction off ai on 6 abs normally disabled running auto since im not drifting then all others are disabled as far as possible

Now… this is a game that is made to play with tuning and upgrades… this means we have to lvl up 500+ cars to level 50 to really try them out? Nahhhh…. These parts should be purchased with money, not grind points.

I agree that the new way to grind is a bit different. I traditionally like the aspect of grinding cash to buy/upgrade cars, but this grind is not so bad... I'm trying to give it a solid shot through the intended way to play and am enjoying it so far. I mainly feel like there are not enough events with various cars to really stretch the car building potential, though.

@@JCCollinsRacing Hey, 👋🏻 Grinding for money, I understand the concept. Being able to spend that money on what you want is important. The way it is right now, when you get a new car, you have to grind CXP for hours on end just to know if you’ll appreciate the end result. If you don’t like the upgraded car, you saved money, but lost half a day. Not sure about most players, but I don’t have many “half days” to spare on something I may not like.

I actually like it, cause you can't just jump to "flavor of the month" recommended by a KZfaqr. You have to put in effort. Something sorely missing from games for over a decade.
