@@ivanarnold3272 It isn't. The song is about a general school shooter. But even that was an accident. The beat and parts of the intro was actually written. The part of outrunning his gun was later added after the singer just spontaneously came up with lyrics on the spot to fit the rhythm. The song is not about a specific school shooting.

nah, hes just singing it an octave lower, the studio version is higher pitched, I'm assuming he did it this way so that he wouldn't strain his voice too much, but he has done it live in the past, check the performance at lollapalooza 2014
