They have to try to remain that way to get the job done. A good friend of mine, sister, did that job for over 20 years. She said the calls take a toll on you mentally because they can't get certain things out of their minds. She broke down in tears, telling us about some of the calls she received. She said they have to maintain their composure to get through those calls. Some of those dispatchers turned to alcohol just to cope.

She's even spoken about the officers who have gotten hurt oe worse over the years that she's been there. I was lucky to be alive but I felt so messed up inside man fr! This shit is REAL& it CAN happen to anybody& that's scary
