In this video, I received a message from a very distraught woman named Lizabeth, who had just lost her phone in Camp Far West while having a nice day out with the family. She said it wasn't the phone she was so sad about, but the over 25,000 pictures and precious memories of her kids growing up, that unfortunately never got backed up to the cloud. She asked if there was anything I could do to help and I told her my beautiful fiancé and I would be out there with my gear the next day!
She works in the ER so she wasn't able to play hooky but her husband and dad were nice enough to come out with her two little ones and allow me to hitch a ride on their boat which always makes my job way easier! Once we got to the spot, we dropped anchor as close as possible to where they remembered the phone being dropped and I jumped in the water! The water had pretty poor visibility but after about 2 hours of searching and getting distracted by some pretty cool fishy friends, I finally found her phone!
I was so excited and she said she was in tears when her husband first called and told her! I made sure to FaceTime her when we got home and I'm so glad I did because she was such a kind and good hearted person, as well as the rest of the awesome people that went out with us that day! I couldn't have asked to help a nicer family! Plus, to top it all off, the phone powered back on and she was able to recover all of her once lost pictures and videos!
It's honestly hard to describe the incredible feeling I get when we're able to reunite someone with something they lost forever and I'm so happy we were able to do it again! I hope you all enjoyed this adventure and I'll see you on the next one!
