this just proves my point why i want to check all the cars i find dumped/crashed off cliffs and roads because you never know if anybody could be in them....i have about 600 cars i found on google maps that i need to check and about 200 that i already checked so far

@@kdl8439 It's not amazing. That's what dementia does - the patients lose sense of direction. They could be five minutes from their house and not know how to get home.

I feel you bro.. I am a crime scene investigator and i hear what you are saying. That extra tiny bit can mean that a missing person will be brought home. Hopefully alive. Just go that extra mile or around that corner. Go with your gut and feel. Bless Virginia and her family, rest in peace.

Jeremy you guys searched long and hard. I’m sorry you couldn’t find her, but your expressed regrets for not locating her is heartfelt. I couldn’t determine if she and her car were close to the bodies of water where you were. So glad it was only 3 years and not much longer. Not knowing where a missing loved one is would be very emotionally painful. Thank you for giving us an update on this case.

While it is very sad that she got lost and ultimately passed away, I would rather that, for myself, than the potential terror of being trapped inside a sinking vehicle.

This is what I feel like happened with Michele Lyn Hundley Smith.. if she’s not in the water I believe she is wrecked in the woods somewhere. Her route was along a heavily wooded area. Missing over 20 years. Hopefully someone stumbles upon her soon.

@@SqueakyWheel__Inc. I realize with law inforcement they have their limits. Not sure how much access to information the general public has that come into an area for hiking, fishing, or hunting to know about missing persons from that area.

I had a distance cousin that went missing like this. She was found in the middle of nowhere . We think her dementia caused her to go so far from home. Her name was Eunice Gass from Whittier N.C.

You all took time and effort to look for Virginia. In our area, we just had three missing person's report. Two were found safe and sound. Unfortunately, last week, we got a new bulletin that remains had been found in the woods about 10 miles from where I am sitting. The identity is still pending, but once it is confirmed, some one will have answers. So, thank you.

Jeremy, please do not beat yourself up. You and the other dive crews proved where she wasn't. You all put your lives on hold to try and find her. You are doing a great job, look after yourself now. Take some time to grieve for her and I, along with all your fans, say thank you for doing everything you could to find her. You are heroes.

Jeremy I can understand your sadness at Virginia dying alone in the woods and lost. Never would you think that she would veer so far off course in her travels. No wonder it was quite a while her vehicle and remains were discovered. Just be glad that she was finally recovered.

Thanks man! AWP had a similar case happen like this. Only the car was in a ravine right at the turnoff to the boat ramp where they were searching. They told us the car was pink. A passer by saw a flash of pink and looked. The sheriff was still at the boat ramp.

Jeremy Keep on doing what you do. People need to remember that anyone has the possibility to be aware of their surroundings. And it is important in rural areas inform the hunters, farmers about missing people. They are out on regular basis and can report back on places they have been at. Thank you for the update and all the details surrounding her disappearance. Everyone gave it a valiant effort to find her. I’m glad her family finally has the answers and she can have the proper funeral. So sorry for the way she passed it’s heartbreaking. RIP Virginia. Glad she was found too. AWP was looking for a lady in a pink car a while back, she was found in a woods too that had been cleared at the time of her disappearance but had grown back by the time she was found. These stories are so similar.

That was their first road trip! Sam Sam the adventure man and Dan Dan the camera man were with Jared on that trip. They were out searching on the water for her when they heard her car had been found. Natalie Jones. Case.

That case exhibited corruption. It's no "coincidence" that the day after AWP searches, the vehicle is found. The investigator was very tight lipped about the case, he knew where the vehicle was, he is a bad actor and it was very obvious.

@@stevenhulbert7540 in that particular case the property was covered in years of overgrowth because the owner hadn't been well (according to what someone said) and coincidentally had hired someone to clear the brush...and that's how her car was revealed.

EXACTLY!! Nug & the others who hunt for & dive on targets can only do the very best with what areas they are "told of"... Like areas family knows the victim to frequent, last cellphone pings, etc... Hey, they clear out a lot of cars!! Some stolen!!

Thank you for updating everyone Jeremy. You're the only one that keeps people up to date even if you're not the one that finds the person. The Rosemary Rodriguez case out of Kilgore, TX has been resolved after a hunter found her car on Dec 30, 2021 in a thick patch of woods, recognized the car and immediately called the Gregg County Sheriff. However the team that worked on her case hasn't updated anyone. So thank you for updating your viewers.

Dennis Watters found Bill Simmons in a place that no one had searched before because no one thought he could be there. Even though it was right next to several areas that were searched many times.

Amazing! I grew up in Alabama and a fellow high school student went missing for a few years before being found right next to a very busy highway. The underbrush and Kudzu can be very thick in Alabama. In the small world category, the sheriff in the video is very familiar - from Season 6 of 60 Days In.

I too had made a comment about the vegetation off the AL roads. Your comment reminded me of some HS classmates. Two girls went missing. It was a complete fluke that someone looked at the exact moment that they would see a glint of sunlight reflected. The car was deep down, off the road, completely in the bushes, in CA. So dry, that there had been no tire tracks. Had the internet been going so strong back then, it definitely would have been one of the viral stories.

I live in rural GA. Many of the country roads don't have shoulders and steep dropoffs on the sides. A few years ago a woman was near my home and swerved to avoid a deer. She went down a wooded ravine and was invisible from the road. Luckily it was daylight and people saw and heard it. She and the baby were completely fine. Had it been at night and she gor hurt, it would have been another story. The brush and kudzu take over unbelievably fast

Those are really great pointers at the end. We see tracks through long grass but don’t think it could be someone in trouble. I always think it’s someone screwing around or texting and went off the road or whatever. Next time I’ll definitely check it out better. Also, you’ve got such a giant heart. It’s so nice to see. May Virginia finally be laid to rest and her family begin to properly grieve now that she’s home.

Jeremy… you & the other divers gave Ms Virginia attention with your searching for her. A valiant effort that unfortunately came up empty in the waterways. No one could have guessed her final location. The place wasn’t on the radar of anyone. Luckily the hunter found her car & ultimately, her remains were located nearby. At least her family has some solace but not the “why” of how she came to be so far off the expected route.

Let's hope now that people can get personal drones that far more landscape, countryside can and will searched as a hobby. This should provide more answers to lost people much quicker with the ability to cover more ground than even a helicopter.

I've been wondering lately if drones couldn't be programed to fly at relatively high speeds through certain areas, maybe even wooded areas, to look for people. A half dozen drones could cover far more ground than human search parties while recording sounds and video to be looked through remotely by people or analyzed via computer programs to look for color patterns or listen for sounds such as speech. At 10 feet or so off the ground, they could even search at night and try to attract the individual's attention via lights and recorded messages.

Great idea. Like the volunteeres who are experts in the water searches using sonar, maybe so point we're who navigate drones on a regular basis could do the same in search of missing persons. Something tells me that the missing former Mayor Brown is in some wooded area like Virginia Collier was found.

My condolences and prayers to the family; rest peacefully Virginia. 🙏 Many years ago, when I was still working for the government, we learned the phrase “See Something, Say Something”. And now after hearing it again, this is so important, like Jeremy said, if you see something that doesn’t look right, let someone know. Who knows, you may save a life and give answers to a family who have a missing loved one. There are too many missing persons out there in this world and if we are able, we should give a helping hand.

Thanks for doing this video, Jeremy. Really appreciate knowing that she was found. All the groups that were searching for her- thanks for caring. What a tragedy that she was alone and for whatever reason, couldn't get help. RIP Virginia. 🙏 🙏🙏

So sad to hear that she had such a tragic ending. Hopefully her family can get some peace from her being found even if they don't have the total answers. God bless you guys for continuing to search and look for answers for other families.
