When you first applied it, it looked a little warm on your skin. But once your whole face was done, it looked great. My skin tone is similar and I have rosacea. Ordering some samples to figure out my shade!

Thank you for this review Mandy. I am over 70 and still have a love of foundation. You are spot on recommending this for mature skin. I have tried so many different foundations but as you age you can't look good with some of the foundations you used when younger. I have pretty normal skin that can get dry if I don't take care of it. I adore this foundation as it doesn't settle into or emphasise lines. I love how it reflects light and makes your skin look great. Initially it wouldn't stay on very well but it was user error. It needs to be given a really good shake. I apply with a soft brush and it never looks cakey. I do powder it lightly and now it lasts all day. I love your honest reviews. Of course you do have gorgeous skin so you always look beautiful whatever you wear.

I’ve tried this foundation on my very dry, older skin and fully agree with your assessment. I have tried many others since I found this one (at the recommendation of Lisa J) but I don’t think I’ve found anything better. I particularly value your foundation reviews. I’ve found that each one I get on your recommendation really suits me. More than everyone I follow on KZfaq (and I follow many others too) my skin seems to like what works well for you!

I'm 56 and love this foundation. I originally ordered samples 2, 3, and 4 and quite frankly could use all of them. They're very forgiving. I had to start Tamoxifen and have horrible hot flashes and my skin is changing but still find it works great. I had purchased my last bottle on QVC but just checked and they aren't carrying it anymore. Love this stuff! Stay well💖💖

I purchased a couple of shades sometime last year (based on your recommendation) and was just wondering the other day if this was still one of your favorites. I would say that this is one of the most reliable, non fussy, of the formulas in my collection which I appreciate. I'm going to have to pull it out today, feeling reinspired to enjoy its finish and performance!

I’ve loved this foundation and used it for 5 years! Nothing ever compared (and I’ve tried many) until I tried the LaMer foundation which I find to have a more flawless finish. I still use FA too though. Thanks for this video. I’ve waited for you to do this for a couple of years!

Hi Mandy, I had this foundation for years however I can no longer wear it. As I age my skin is extremely oily.....at the end of the day I have little "pools" of oil on my forehead. I've always been oily but Not like this. I do get dehydrated from acids and such but not all the time. I agree this is a Beautiful foundation! It looks beautiful on you!

Why haven't I tried this before??? Clearly I was waiting for this video from you. I did have really oily skin in the past but it seems 3-4 years of retin a micro has normalized that craziness a lot, so I'm actually more normal now. I'm excited to give this a go, and I love it that they have samples you can try so you don't have to have that awful waste with wrong shades & etc.!

I have shades 1 & 2, love the formula but I do find them to be a little too yellow for me. Although I'm glad you mentioned them - i haven't used the adjuster shades. Most of the Face Atelier shades have a yellow undertone. I purchased a medium shade when QVC was selling it. What can I do to lessen the yellow undertone? I have more of a neutral undertone. I love the way the foundation wears but never reach for it much because of its yellow undertone.

As I get older I'm finding my skin is getting more oily which is a shock because I've been so dry skinned my whole life!

This is so pretty! All the color choices have a yellow undertone which doesn't work for me. I'm not sure what mixer to use to get rid of it. I'm a straight up neutral but sometimes I can use a slightly peachy color. I must investigate further! Like I need another foundation LOL But I love them!

I'm mature but have combo normal to oily. Is this still best or are there other recommendations you have?

Hey Mandy thanks for this! Love knowing it works so well. As far as mixing with the Nars Sheer Glow, is it to take out a little luminosity in the finish or just give a more blurring effect to the skin? The Sheer Glow on its own is not moisturizing enough on my dry mature skin.

Hi Mandy I purchased this foundation for my studio as I was doing makeup on mature women and yes I agree it is so lovely on the skin. My only complaint is that their foundations are all pretty warm and I had to adjust it sometimes for my cool skin undertones (which is ok) by just mixing with another foundation - I haven't tried the Nars Sheer Glow yet. Shouldnt every brand offer 1 dollar samples to match your shade? God could you imagine how mich money we would all save..now i have really good luck finding a shade but also being medium neutral helps cause you can kinda get away with both warm and cool tones.. lol
