I was having a rough time at a tournament and was thinking of throwing in the towel a couple years back. I don't remember how, I think through one of Robbie's videos, but I reached out to him not expecting a reply at all, expressing my frustration at my game and how terrible I was. Robbie actually sent me back a short video with words of encouragement. Just the fact that Robbie took the time back then to reach out was enough for me to tell myself... hey no matter what, it's worth it to play. So this is just another "Thanks Robbie, you have helped so many people." message.

Im here to say if you dont throw over 300ft you probably dont need anything over 7 speed. Sure you can find something faster that works for you but you WILL get more consistency from discs that match tour arm speed. A bad shot shot with your 7 speed will almost always be better than your bad shot with your 12 speed.

7 speed is not quite specific enough to me. I would say if you can't throw a mildly overstable disc like a teebird straight for 330 or more you don't have the power to throw anywhere close to 400 ft or even high 300s which is what distance drivers are designed for. Atleast for backhand. People can get lucky with a higher speed driver that is lightweight or very understable and hit 350ft once in a blue moon but usually throw low 300s or high 200s. Also, people want to design their bag around pros "in the bag". No non pro disc golfer should carry 5 distance drivers in their bag. A pro or high level amateur rarely throw distance drivers on 95% of courses.

I can throw a tbird all day 330 but can't get a distance driver 400. The 7 speed comment is pretty accurate for me. My 7 speeds fall pretty close to my 12 speeds

So yesterday for the first time all year I played an honest round as if I was in a tournament and I scored a plus 13. I’m still mentally trying to move past it. I am never going to get better by throwing 3-4 attempts on one shot if I don’t throw in more consistent (honest) rounds.

Just wanted to say, i have been a subscriber of foundation for a couple years now and love all the podcasts on this format for the channel. I have only watched a few of these in the bag podcast and im finding them just as if not more enjoyable than the rest! Love brad and Robbie's vibe and how honest they are. Definitely helping me figure out what ti take in and pull out of my bag

Me a towering 5'3". Love disc golf b/c I took the time to do a bunch of work to make my game enjoyable with friends. Bag today is 2x putters, 3x mids, and 2-3x fairway drivers. RHBH Drive 250'-275' w/50-60% effort, Reach 300'-315' w/90-95% effort. Helpful choices: Took a lesson Took out >9spd discs Putting 2-3x/wk Middy field work 50'-175' Foosa bag w/8-9x discs Playing tons of solo rds Playing Rec div minis Filming fieldwork, was ugly Not helpful: Aimless driver fieldwork Backpack w/+20 discs Being afraid to play minis Believing +350' required

I've noticed that most people think they throw a lot further than they do. I play tournaments as much as i can and there's always a guy or two who claim to throw 350 to 400 yet the whole tournament they're landing right by my 275 to 300ft drive lol

Love this podcast. A flight chart / disc chart would be nice to see in the corner. It is helpful to help learn the bag better for viewers who don't know all the speeds or stability memorized.

This guy seems like a nice guy. However, his angle of release has to be poor. No way some of these discs he has is flying straight. A hex is not going to be straight unless you throw it 300ft.

I will a majority of the time the discs I said that I said fly straight do but I’m working on consistency and the hex does fly really straight for me a lot because it’s a little beat in
