The Mother's recitation from the book by Sri Aurobindo, with her historic video footage and photographs. Film is based on a 1954 documentary by Dr P. Sanyal, and produced by Department of Physical Education of Sri Aurobindo Ashram.

I donot know why but whenever I see the picture of mother, I get scared. I feel like some kind of negative force.. it’s weird… I respect her but I don’t know why the feelings of fear arises..

It is due to some adverse formation that associates the Divine with punishment and severity. There is also the fear of the loss of individuality before something or someone too immense and mighty. During such moments remind yourself that the Mother is all Love, an embodiment of the Divine Grace. Her vast immensity helps to take us higher. The only thing that is destroyed by Her look is all that persists in its falsehood. All the rest is refined and transformed into the figure of divinity which it earlier represented in distorted forms.

@@AuroMaa thank you so much for the reply. I appreciate it. Please donot take me wrong.. I have read almost all books by Sri Aurobindo and listened to his speech at Utterpara many times… I loved it . It was just my feelings. It’s that I could not connect myself to her.. I wish I could. Thank you.
