Due to geographical challenges and political instability, Nepal, a landlocked country, relies heavily on India for its economy and food supply. The open border in the south facilitates trade, but political involvement from India, including four historical blockades, has impacted Nepal during vulnerable times. The 2015 blockade, in particular, had significant effects on the nation. But the recent blockade was not the first ever blockade, it has been repeated over four times in history

I used to have a positive view of India, but this changed after experiencing the 2072 blockade at the age of 10. This event created a negative perception of India in my mind, which has persisted to this day. However, now i recognize that the blame lies with the governments on both sides, not the people. I hope that Nepal can reduce its dependence on India in the future and be able to withstand any future blockades.

We also have separate calendar called Nepal sambat, but officially we follow Vikram sambat, but you guys don’t !! Yes many kings did escape India and came to Nepal. But you forget that you were ruled by Mughals who came from Afghanistan ! And then the French, The Portuguese and the eventually the British !!. So what’s with your proclamation of Nepal being an Indian state, just because we have similarities, language, history, food. You are proposing that’s is only unique to only India and Nepal. Mate all neighboring countries around the world have similarities in their culture and language. There is similarity between Spain and Portugal, between Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, between USA and Canada, between Argentina and Uruguay, between. El Salvador, Gutemala, Honduras, between Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, between Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, between Czech Republic and Slovakia, between Sweden, Norway and Finland and heck more than half of Europe was under the Romans but you don’t hear Italians claiming all of Europe. And finally it’s between you guys India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. You were all carved out from the Same piece of land that were United by the British ! So don’t rant out and undermine our independence mate. Our ancestors fought hard with the British for our sovereignty and prevented Nepal annexation with British India. that’s why we don’t have Independence Day. One of the few countries in the world that doesn’t need to !!

Fun fact: Sikkim was once an independent state with a king, Palden Thondup Namgyal. He was deposed after Indian army invaded his tiny kingdom and through a staged "referendum" organised by India on 14 April 1975, which resulted in the abolition of the monarchy and Sikkim becoming a state of India. Namgyal was placed under house arrest. He attempted suicide multiple times. Now you know why all of India's neighbours prefer Beijing over New Delhi?

Right bro, One more fact i.e. Sikkim is more happier and stable than Nepal. They are enjoying less or taxfree service while Nepal government is imposing very high tax rates for vehicles, bank transactions, businesses, luxury items, foods, lands, sevice taxes etc.. Sikkim is stable and a high earning tourist destination and also getting all facilities which other states are getting, they are living in new era, but at the same time because of government policies and miss management, having a natural rich country Nepal is becoming a failed state, Youngesters are compelled to leave country for good earning and future. Inflation is skyrocketing. Political crisis is increasing day by day. And many more. I am half Nepali and I love my Nepal 🇳🇵. But looking the current situation, Sometimes I literally think. It will be better if Nepal will be also the part of India. No hate for anything. This is only my thoughts. Only there is politics which is making differences between India and Nepal.

@pie0398 You are somehow right bro but you have less knowledge of geo politics, This is not about wrong or right, geo politics works around interests. China has big economic advantage and they used it very nicely to attract neighbors and in the result Everybody knows what happened with Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Myanmar. These countries got debt trapped. India has given bellout package to Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and now they are close to India now. Because of Chinese funds civil war is going in Myanmar. Pakistan is still going through very bad situation and begging bellout packages from IMF. Maldives had a very good relation with India but now there is Pro china government. And about Bhutan, King has still good relation with India but political leaders are getting attracted just like other countries did. And Also Nepal has invested in failed projects like Airports, Dems, Tunnels, Roads and taken high loans which will become soon a debt trap as well. Every coin has two sides so India and China both have but in Nepal it becomes trends to show India's negative side for views, popularity or political advantages. So simply Hating anynone we should just take advantage of big giants rivalry as Bangladesh government is doing. We should think just about our interests not supporting or opposing anyone as our corrupt and stupid leaders are doing and we are suffering. Jai Nepal🇳🇵, Jai Hind 🇮🇳

1st we need to be self sustained developing all sectors and major automobile sector should be reviewed so that in case of further blockage indians will definately target parts due to new bs6 norms and if these vehicles are used in nepal the spare parts sensors can be hassel for the transportation sector and you know transportation is the blood vessel of nation and new vehicles are designed and you can program not to run if a sensor fails
