for the honey challenge the stump appear once you are holding the stone axe and get withing a certain proximity of a stump, not sure exactly how close that is though.

Capp, the honey quest didn't show you a direction probably because the first task it wanted you to do was "Hold a stone ax", which you can do without going anywhere.

Great video my friend - the Wasteland definitely has it in for you - wow!!! I hope editing Capp comes by and tells you that the honey tracking quest would have worked had you seen that it said "Hold stone axe." You didn't so it didn't work but it's definitely VERY cool to know it's there! 😁👍👍👍

Something else I just thought of, while you were running back from the quest POI: mark the route you take with wooden frames! That way, you can more or less mark safe routes through the wasteland, where you've already travelled and scouted for mines! Along with the roads, where mines never spawn, you can make more safe routes to run along, as long as you try to run from marker to marker!

When you selected the gather honey quest, if you had looked to the top right where it shows what your tracking it said to hold your stone axe. It requires the use of the axe so you have to be holding the axe for the tracking to work

was watching this while waiting for my day 42 horde night to start, the wasteland is no joke, managed to survive it but my god my base got hammered and i dont have the materials to repair it all lol, busy week in game ahead. don't envy you with this playthrough, can't say i'm enjoying later stages much, everything is a rad

I mentioned the honey thing but: You have to have the axe in hand and it only shows you stumps within 'range'. Not sure what the range is but I think it's around 100m. Don't quote me there, it doesn't tell you distance just shows up. Edit: did a quick check, no Stumps in wasteland... except at the honey poi. Edit 2: Not gonna lie, early game I always double loot the trailer park mail boxes... sometimes the main stash too... other than the big momma guarding it its super easy to grab. Edit 3: BTW there's a Challenge to make 20 pipe bombs (now that you know how...).

the pine forest is crappy too. I went to the generation map and no matter what I did a big city never appeared in the forest, only in the four corners with the forest in the middle did big cities generate in all the other biomes.

You have to be near the source of whatever it is you're tracking. Otherwise you'd have markers all over your screen constantly if it were showing you every possible source across the map. For example when I track mechanical parts, it'll show chairs to take apart when you're close enough to them.

Tracking for honey does show the stumps … but not guarantee honey tho, but you need to be close enough to see the stump

Not sure if you saw my comment but someone took a buried supply quest and the treasure was in the middle of the road. When he clicked on the quest the tarmac in the circle turned to clay. That might work in the wasteland too. The traders open at 4am now. Nice quest run and glad you managed to hide from that zombie bear. Was it dog day? Great fun. Thanks Capp xx

The tracking does work but you need to be outside and somewhat near the stumps. To prove this find a stump, activate the task and you will see for yourself. Also this does NOT work if it is a poi stump.

Also to help keep your game stage lower longer. Lower XP to 50% and set skill points to 2 per lvl. you progress the same with skill points but you will not get to a high lvl as fast. Personal i always play with 2 skill points at 100% xp

That also keeps your loot level lower so I’m not really sure what you think it gains, sure it’s weaker zombies but your fighting them in worse gear

Capp you make me laugh, sometimes you are so oblivious to things, when you did the trailer park the direction of the bear across the street was a trader smoke plume , so the new town you were in had a trader and was much bigger than where you started, plus you could take jobs on the same level at the new trade closer to where you need to be!!!!!!! love your gamming and videos, you really do play like I do, not joking!!!!!!!!

Capp, is there any reason you're not doing the buried supply missions instead? Most are less than a mile away. Also it's probably easier in the wasteland since ur chopping away at stone rubble instead of digging. You worried about mines? Or don't like getting the tier 1 food exclusively from those quests? Something else?..

ok here's the idea. give yourself a Bike with the understanding that you can't repair it should it get damaged so the way you drive it has limited use.
