with 1.0, the screamers are so bad that this design works great for your crafting base, too.

I think you get XP for robotics, just not traps until you level.

this is gonna sound insane but a t5 ranger hat with better barter and daring adv maxed.. cigar and intel mods a full t4 scavenger set.. im gettting near 10k for a 100k stack of both mech parts and elect parts.. i did 3 quests at t3 for bob today and got jack for rewards and less than 1200 dukes.. im done with quests unless progression im salvaging everything and selling from now on.. in the wasteland its mint... granted it would be death to a play through for content but my dude.... its way more dukes.. btw ya get both the trader perks maxed.. ya see t5 on almost everything (granted random stuff.. still no ratchets or impacts yet dang it)

I’ve been playing this game for years and haven’t messed with electricity much in terms of traps but I like to use it for lights. I did once test gas vs battery gens and I found that that you could save a lot of gas by hooking everything to the battery bank and having a separate gas generator and battery bank for charging off the main line. This is because if the gas generator was hooked the battery bank on the main line then when you turn on the gas generator to charge the batteries it also powers the whole line and the gas per watt to power the line was higher than the gas per battery durability charged then battery durability to watt. Cant remember what it was but it was so significant of a gas saving I never hooked my gas generator into my power lines ever again I just keep it in a separate battery charging only setup and swap batteries around as needed

Fire Marshall Bill was the best safety against getting caught on fire or splody damage. I never considered if he might have been good for Duck and Cover as well. We had to do a couple of those but I think someone realized if you were told to Duck and Cover you probably should just tuck the head between the knees and kiss something goodbye for all the good Duck and Cover would do. That was the drill we got in Basic Training. Sit, spread, head down, kiss it good bye. No Hawk Tuah involved though.

maybe a small addition to the battery and generator usage : they use up the fuel depending on how much energy is used ( if only 1W is used it lasts very long and if you draw the max 300W the fuel runs out pretty fast ) the second addition is for the turrets: they can only use standard ammo and none of the better one´s ( hi-power / AP ) i rarely use the battery bank because of the constant humming that drives me insane

If you are going to craft new gloves, the preacher gloves give generic undead damage. That wouldn’t work on the living bears and wolves, but could be a better option than specific ranged/melee damage.

Glancing through the comments I see mostly stop drop and roll comments. Sooo sorry if someone else said it but... The "Meth House" you kept referring to. Did you NOT realize it was called the "Cook's" House? What do meth creators do... they "Cook" it.. :P

I have found out that running your forge or stove calls the screamers in but also using a machine gun does. You can't stay at your base while cooking or running the forge. You can't use your machine gun in anything but short burst. As long as you keep doing it, the more screamers that will show up. I've been doing tier threes with a stun baton, baseball bat, and a handgun. Otherwise, screamers come out of the wood work. I understand making a game challenging but the screamers are become too challenging. I had nightmares last night with screamers and I rarely have nightmares. Something needs to change!

I grew up in the 70s/80s in the UK and all we got is dont come crying to me if you hurt yourself in anyway cause you is a dumbass lol we had the stop look and listen for crossing the road and dont got near electricity sub stations or you get fried and the old classic clunk click every trip for wearing a seatbelt. stop drop and roll wasnt not a thing cause no-one ever got set on fire. thanks for another good vid watching you run away from a screamer horde(always makes me chuckle) which probably would have turned into an endless horde being in the wasteland and all.

I also thought that catching on fire was a real problem for adults. Now that I am an adult, I notice that very few of my friends have actually caught on fire. This is a testament to all the Stop, Drop, and Roll drills!

You can stick a mod into the armor, so that it won't let you scrap it accidently. :)

Finally started my 1.0 playthrough. Trader Rekt has a Day 1 crucible for $15000....I so will not be able to afford it. I have had 3 buried treasure quests from Rektm that auto-failed as soon as I went 500k away to activate. Meh.

A land claim block should stop quests from being your base.
