I am from Bhutan and during british india time we have some written record where our warlord hired many khampa warriors from Tibet and deafeated 12000 strong bristish army . We sincerely have immense respect for the khampo people

Yes Chushi Gangdruk was founded by khampa Aduk Gonpo Tashi and 90% of its members were Khampas. Of course there were some handful of Utsangs and Amdos. The 90% of Utsangs in exile escaped from Tibet with all their belongings. Some took even their dogs with them. They did not dream of fighting back the Chinese because they were so much traumatized by aristocratic families. And some of those powerful families have even today their hands on exile govt and nepotism is widespread with their power. It’s quite threatening with aging of HH. Those powerful aristocratic families and the Yabshi families want to take all the control of Exile govt in future.

My popo was also part of chushi gangtruk but he was Amdo not khampa therfore chushi gandruk consist of amdo also infact main leader of chushi gandruk was Amdo!

My father also Amdo and first monk at Ganden monastery in Lhasa and then after Lhasa 1959 uprising join in chushi gangdruk .i hope to be mentioned Amdo sacrifice on chushi gangdruk in movie.

Not just Khampa and Amdo, there were even U-tsang people who joined Chushi Gangdruk army as a united force against China. But I think many people miss the part of history, when there were politics involved to disgrace or hide the sacrifices made by these legends, all the Amdo and U-tsang did not want to relate to their forefather’s sacrifices….It was only people of Kham who still upholds their forefather’s sacrifices and struggle, who still recognize and take pride in these legends and the organization itself which still thrives! Which is the only reason, it is widely recognized as Dhokham Chushi Gangdruk in later stage. I personally think that this organization should receive their due respect and pride from all regions of Tibet.
