This song bring back memories when I was about 7 years old. My mother use to come home from work and play this song and others over and over as she relax before cooking dinner for 10 children. Every time I hear this song, my mother is included mostly in my memories. Rest In Peace my dear mother. **Tear**

I’d like to give this jam some credit for letting me realize how this young man that was raised by an unforgiving mother named Texas was able to learn her lessons of violence and loneliness could find solace in song

These four guys brought so much joy to my life. Levi, the perfect gentleman, Obie always with a joke in his back pocket, Lawrence…my sweet Lawrence, with the smile that lit up the sky and Duke, the businessman who put everything in it’s proper perspective. My brothers will forever be with me. My Obie who constantly reminded me he was taking care of Levi. You have no idea the love, honor and respect they had for each other and the love the three had for Levi. I got a tearful hug from Duke a couple of months ago. Missing you guys today!🙏🏾💔❤️🥲🥲🥲

Miss Four Tops so badly and nowadays very few people interact that life feels so cold . I just can't understand why leaders have not listened to the greats of the past especially the seventies era. I thought leaders would listen and learn and implement their knowledge with everyone but they seem to not care about anyone and have not listened to our artists and authors and the world seems destined to be careless and now artificial intelligence seems to be the only thing they are concerned with. Marvin Gay(e) as well as millions of other creative people told them in a prophetic way but they have not listened and it seems to me that this is going to begin a world that doesn't care any more. I hope I am wrong but this is the conclusion I have arrived at 63 years old. Peace and Love Always.

This very simple song and simple lyrics saids so much. It tells of standing alone in a society of tormoil. However, you look at the decaying and know that you are still living and surviving as best as you can.YES, "Still Waters Run Deep". No one writes songs like this anymore that touch the Heart, Soul and Mind of a HUMAN-BEING. I am so blessed to have been alive when this song was created. I thank the Four Tops for such a heart felt song today. ☮️.
