@stevebradshaw2796 жыл бұрын
Hi Mark. I watched the above video with the new Fox Lure spray, which clearly works. I don't know if you have heard of horse hoof lure? Basically, it's the clippings from horse hooves, boiled in clean water then bottled. The smell is something else, and I have never failed to attract a fox when using it. (shooting the fox is another thing!) The lure has been used in Canada to attract Bobcats. I would be happy to send you a sample for you to try. Handle with care though, and don't get it on your hands/clothes! - Steve.
@regsparkes65076 жыл бұрын
I'd be interested in hearing about the learning curve to discover this attractant.
@Charlie-ms2yv6 жыл бұрын
Where can you buy this lure from Steve ?
@NorthernFoxingUK6 жыл бұрын
Been using this for two years it can help...but don't become reliant upon it. Good video as usual Mark. Keep them coming. I always spray...like Mark has on something that can hold the scent like timber or moss. It's good stuff. Helps hide your scent a little too...just remember to wash well before you clamber into bed with the Mrs!
@stevebradshaw2796 жыл бұрын
Horse hoof lure is made, not bought. Nail clippings are boiled in a galvanised bucket and the liquid is bottled. The longer it's kept, the better it is.

I used to trap mink years ago. Used to use mink scent gland ( musk glands) located at the base of the tail either side. Skin em out keep em intact.place em in a jar then bust em releasing the musk .then top the jar up with cod liver oil .keep in a screw top jar.I used to trap alot of mink using this. can see workin on foxes aswell..just replace the mink glands for fox scent glands .Bosh 😬😉

Hi Mark, whats the average life of your 260 barrel with all the hunting and target shooting? Cheers
@260rips6 жыл бұрын
GRT1005 it had a new barrel last year after around 5000 rounds 👍
@GRT10056 жыл бұрын
260rips ok cheers, just had a 308 put on my licence, looking at getting the 700 5R Gen 2, mainly for the 308 history and barrel life expectancy. Could you see a noticeable loss of accuracy when hitting the 5000 round mark? 👍🏼
@260rips6 жыл бұрын
GRT1005 yes for awhile I’d been missing shots that should have been fairly easy and put it down to other things as between these I was getting some cracking shots also. Wasn’t until I put it on paper I found the group was about 2 inches or more!
@GRT10056 жыл бұрын
260rips Bloody hell that is a very noticeable difference. I know the 6.5's run hot along the throat but didn't realise it got that bad..

@260rips6 жыл бұрын
John Conway 🤔 good question. If money is tight I would go with the latest photon with a good ir. The pulsar f155 is pretty good and very convenient as well as capable of 200 Foxing. Other than that if funds allow an archer or better still a longbow from starlight

Any tips for snow conditions. Day or night?..
@260rips6 жыл бұрын
Gkir1 yes calling works well! Get out and look for fresh tracks to suss our fox routes and get out late afternoon into the evening as they will often be out earlier and moving around more. Shooting at night on snow is great as you can usually use your day scope and binos as it’s so light!
@Gkir16 жыл бұрын
260rips i was out yesterday in a old quarry and saw several tracks and some rabbits or hares. What would be ideal setup there. Maybe rig up a caller upwind or something. Would early morning and late night be better that midday or does it make any odds? When the weather is cold.

35 SECOND INTRO!?!?!?! You think this is Magnum p.i.? Thumbs down just for that.
@260rips6 жыл бұрын
Jim Parsons when you consider the amount of my time it takes to film and edit all this footage just to bring you 10 minutes of content to watch, to ask for 35 seconds of your time in return doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. By showing you the products I use and have success with saves people asking me what I use every five minutes and hopefully saves them spending good money on poor products.
@imnotbuddha6 жыл бұрын
Tell you what; just because you took time to reply, taking off the thumbs down. Still, I tell you, that intro is ridiculously long and annoying enough I am less likely to watch your other vids.
