The way he answered the question at 31:33 really opened my eyes as a producer. I've been vibing on this song recently, thinking it was absolutely fantastic, and to hear him say that he still had qualms with the final product reminded me of myself, constantly docking my own music and saying it needed more time, or I just wasn't satisfied with it. It's good to know that it's common amongst producers to only enjoy your projects to a certain extent, even if someone else thinks it's incredible. Really gave me perspective.

I would say the midi triggering of the Serum FX modulation was pretty interesting. Definitely worth experimenting with. Also the multi band frequency shifter seems an esoteric choice but after seeing him tweaking it, it does yield some interesting results. Overall a great video. Great learning resource for up and coming producers like myself.

Heya Wyatt, thanks for the heads up on the Bassline Drift episode, came to love these In the DAW series. The thing i like about them is the insight that it gives us into the producers desicionmaking process, fox kinda sparked the train of thought on that one. Looking out for the why instead of the how instantly boosted the educational value of tutorials for me :) and fox just radiates positive energy for some reason :P

I allway thought of Fox as a great songwriter rather than a producer. His musical idea's allways seem to sit front and centre and the electric sounds/edm elements are a means to flesh out and embellish that idea, And morph it slightly into somthing unique. Most producers have a snap shot of a idea, but that idea is hardly ever linear and most likely will fundamentaly change influenced by the sounds themselves or new ideas later in the process. But with fox's mentality the sounds serve the track/ musical backbone. You can really hear that in his music. You could change up all the sound design to one of his tracks, but it would almost still be the same track. Good example of this is to compare his live rock/pop version of dreamland and his "edm" version. They are two flavours of the same song. Not that this approach to producing is for everyone. but definitely intresting. Bit late to the party i know.

Wyatt Christensen DUUUUUDDDE!!!!! The episode with Tricecta literally changed the way I produce. Like I didn't realize how little work I was putting into my songs. Also the thing about using noise in the high end and how he used the distorted sample from "damage" to make the mid basses stand out. In this episode, I really liked that bass, and the idea of trying to make one sound, sound really good instead of layering a bunch of stuff. And also I love his philosophy of not doing things that aren't fun for him. Sorry I'm rambling, the main things I get from these is solid advice and techniques combined with inspiration to make my music better. I love stuff like The Tim Ferris show, so it's just so cool that you guys made something like that, specifically for producers. Seriously I stepped my game up like crazy after watching these, one of my goals is to be on this show one day. Thanks for responding and and keep killing it dudes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Each episode has few most interesting things. In this episode, first things that got my attention was main bass/lead sounddesign and layering of vocals. I only missed a fact about effects on vocoder type vocal or distorted vocals. The second was plugins which fox uses. For most of them I’ve never heard. I definitely must try at least a few of them. In next episodes i would love to see more Trap/Future Bass producers 😁

Just watched it they seem cool i couldn't do the year song though that would kill me 😮. I like their use of PCM sounds and real instruments i'm pretty similar in that regard. Of subject but have you ever sampled a harmonica? re-synthesised harmonica layered with detuned saws is my favourite thing in the world, that or stacking different language google translate phrases as oscillator voices with key tracking. Anyhow keep the videos coming bruh bruh there 🔥.

its not a pain to update if you know what you are doing , i have the last high sierra installed and i always update, one thing that can break on the updates are the graphic card drivers (you get black screen on boot) but you can solve this very easy , just boot with your MacOS PEN DRIVE INSTALL using the SAFE MODE and then install graphic card drivers again and reboot (just takes 2 minutes) there is hundreds of forums about hackintosh its very easy this days PS: MoceanRCT3 no the iMacs ony use ATI/AMD cards

I`ve been trying to remake the lead and bass in this, and I have 2 questions if anybody could help out. 1. Early in the video, you can see he is cutting the frequencies on the bus. A channel eq, 550 hZ low cut. Then he boosts the low with the OTT. But when I do this, my low end is almost gone. How exactly did he do this? 2. After he has shown his bus with his distortion (also very early in the video), he then starts talking about the serum fx. How can he send one channel to 2 different buses? or what is he doing here? I, very confused haha. Some answers would be lovely! Thanks

Literally not able to reproduce the Lead. Is it because the Logic Distortion Plug in is freakin insane? or is it because of the way fox combines the square and the sine wave to get this sound? @@MultiplierSounds P.S: I actually experimented when creating that sound and I forgot the part of the sound design today but I can still make an instructional text when I figure out how I used the reverb filter.

Uhhhh... he missed the point of OTT. It's used for post processing and actually shaping the sound. It isn't meant to be used simply to make a sound bigger. Although now I prefer to use a different preset I made instead of ott for multiband comp

tried the exact thing in the beginning but it doesn't seem to work... copied over the preset 1:1 any idea if he had put on additional FX (i am on logic too so i already tried the thing with the distortion and it doesn't sound as polished...)

Hi there, I've only had a skim through the video at the point but I think one thing I could suggest is to make an FM bass. FM some basic sound waves, such as sine, triangle and square waves, in to each other. If you do this enough you should start to get something similar. Additionally, make sure you're playing low on the keyboard and some disortion would probably help the sound, too!

What the fuck is that distortion and how can I get it in VST form? 1:05 I mean I have never heard a distortion like that, that's very unique, if I add my native programs distortion onto a saw and a square it will sound like a distorted saw and a square... not like some modulated angry dirty hybrid between them. Also anyone know what he is talking about here? 34:30 - I tried looking up for a tutorial on it, but can't find anything.

Who is this Wyatt guy and why is he giving feedback to 🦊 Fox's track? He has no credibility to me as he has no music onthe internet, I think he's not a professional

Cheers for plugging the series to Multiplier, I loved the Culprate, Copycatt, Au5 and Fox Stevenson episodes in particular. The editing is professional and funny at times. Most importantly: it's very informative. I like how you keep the conversation going and ask questions to guide the artist in a certain direction. I (and this is me only, and I am a random stupid guy on the internet) just find your remarks and advice to hold no weight - to me and to the artist, being interviewed. This is only because I have not heard anything you've made. Multiplier tho, has built a reputation of being very tech savvy and has some tracks you can check out on his soundcloud which deem him respectable to me. I find his remarks on the show informative and useful. Maybe it's because of the weight the things he says carry, but I think it's more because of the nature of his comments, that I find them to fit nicely into the format. Anyways, repeating, I am a random guy on the internet. My comments should not influence the show - you know better than me how to lead it. I am a firm supporter of disabling or distracting yourself from the comment section, because advice from people who don't know shit about making videos, shouldn't influence the show makers. I find a good analogy of the comment section is a litterbox full of kitten: some of them friendly, some hate you, but in any case - it smells like poop. :D
