I didn't date till my daughter was older but I didn't bring the guy around. One i did date a bit and introduced her to. I asked her opinion and she said no don't like him so i let him go. The last one i dated was back in 2019 she loved him. I only left them alone once and it was to run to the store right at the end of the street while he was cooking. Came back in under 5 mins. She was still playing the video game he setup for her and he was still frying fish. He knew I'd off a man if they touched my kid and would do the jail time with a smile. We did get engaged and she approved it along with my best friend bc he asked them both first. We did end up splitting and she was more heartbroken than I was. She was crying saying i saw him like a dad, this isn't right. I told her I didn't break up with him he did with me. She's 18 now and still says one day she's going to go see his mom bc she still loves her. The thing is dating is scary and its best to keep the guy away for a good while. Then ask your child what they think on meeting them once (of course not at your place but in public.) You never know what kind of guy they are and kinda can sometimes sense something you don't. Some moms ignore their kids and thats the problem. Your children are supposed to come first but some can't stand being alone. Its pathetic! I understand your fear I really do. You do what feels safe for you and your child. I stayed single for a long while for the same reason as you. Guy could be abusive or a chomo and you'd feel guilty bringing that type of person in your home around your child. So if you do date my advice is take it slow and don't bring your child around till you feel you know him a good bit. Like 8months or more. (Yeah i waited 10). Well that's a false statement, because I know for a FACT, the majority of parents actually DO lose their temper, even my mom, who's practically a saint, told me she lost her temper one time with me cause I was crying and crying, she hit me so hard I immediately stopped crying, and she said that the guilt almost ate her up and she never did it again. We've ALLL lost our temper with crying babies. But you have to have some control over yourself when in that situation. They're irritating, so if you can't handle it, take a step back. The girlfriends mother whom they live with takes care of the child while he plays video games and smokes weed! The girlfriend works at one of those cheap pizza joints, so I doubt she's earning big bucks! It amazes how alot of these younger folks have no sense of responsibility. Seems like they're only interested in playing video games, smoking skunky weed and procreating! Doesn't seem like they were raised properly! They really should not be making babies, when they can't even take care of themselves. These are not young adults, they're like late 20's early 30's!

My theory was he was playing his video game, I’ve read too many stories like this, he mentioned that when he got home he played his video game for a little while… many of these guys that don’t have a job sit at home playing games and it’s never for just a little while. Despicable, mom works 2 jobs.

I have five children. They are grown now but I remember when they were screaming or we and my wife were having a hard time we'd either tag team it or we'd put the baby in a safe place and take a 5 minute breather, recharge, and go again. The most important thing to remember is that babies only have crying to communicate. When you have grown children you find that the baby stage is the easiest! What a sick monster.

Dad was a cop for almost 25 years. Later in his career he was an investigator for some very horrific stuff. He told me that sometimes they joke among themselves to relieve the tension.
