As a veteran I close the shades take out my hearing aids put on head phones and let the family enjoy...only problem is , it goes on a day before and at least a day after....be kind to one another

Neighbors here also kept lighting those professional ones that kept dropping embers on my roof and my other neighbor roof, I had to fight sparks with my hose for 5 hours straight. People were careless this year for real dude! 😡

The lawless ones shoot fireworks all week long. The police do nothing. Fireworks started popping off Wed -Sunday morning. Why aren't people not ticketed. It's very disturbing and frightening when you have to go to work the next morning.

People sure like to start problems for no reason. I don’t celebrate such activities but I had to walk my dog and get her used the bangs and sudden flashe, she aced it. Many were out either at parks or front lawns having a wonderful time. I can care less what other people do it happens every year.

Every year my neighbors shoot show sized mortars into the sky above MY house. Twice they have started trees and brush on fire and simply went inside their home not even bothering to let us know! Every 4th we spend wetting down our roof and yards while they drink and shoot off ordinance you might expect to see on a cruise ship! We line up pet carriers and load important documents into totes for quick removal. How dare the officer say its to be expected. Peoples lives are literally put in danger by these dummies every year and they're portrayed as the victims? Shooting off ordinance at your neighborhood is not a victimless crime.

Sometimes I’m troubled by the explosions on the 4th of July, but it’s a family tradition and I endure as we all should. To shoot at a neighbor because of fire works is unthinkable. Mental health is real and we should all take a deep look within ourselves. Rip to the lady that passed away. I’m sure alcohol played a part in his bad decision making.

I had a similar thing happen to us. We owned an empty large lot across the street, from our home we complied with all city ordinances and started a fireworks show over there, but a drunk neighbor went ballistic, on us and called the police, they came, saw we were sober and within the law, he went ballistic, threatened me and my kids. I couldn't believe he was threatening a guy holding a torch and having my gun strapped on, I just laughed at him.

The only fireworks stand anywhere near me didn't open this fourth of July. Nice and quiet. The disrespectful Mexican neighbors around me always left a mess in the street. The Julio's get drunk and out comes the guns while blasting their Mexican music at 500 decibels. I've regained control since one them said for me to call the cops and I looked him in the eyes and told him I don't call the cops because I can handle it myself. And I did.

The people who have been letting off fireworks for the last five days need to pause and consider other people who are affected by continuous loud bangs. Not to mention what it does to dogs, cats, and other wildlife. In our neighborhood the trashy people just left the debris on the sidewalks and streets. The county needs to have bee laws regarding fireworks - its getting waaaay out of hand.
