Haven't seen the movie yet but I'm making my way through the book. Dude, it's emotional as fuck. Even though I technically didn't grow up in the hood, I still resonate with it because everything Starr thinks is similar to what goes through my head. It perfectly highlights what it's like to be a black teen in America and I can't wait to see the movie

I love this movie because I relate to that 2 years ago a white police officer shot and killed a Mexican man for no reason and the name of the officer was never revealed and was still working I remember grabbing a megaphone and saying this outside the police station it doesn’t matter how long it will take we will get justice for mr.Lopez
