@@IcemanTFV Same difference. lol A good singer is emotionally evocative, and honestly, people don't usually feel this level of emotion unless their heart was really in it (and it's evident Chris is singing with his heart!). That's what makes this rendition in particular stand out. :)

I love that he just sang the song. No showboating, no yodeling, no grandstanding display of "look what I can do". He just sang the song like he meant it, and that was what made it so beautiful.

I would love that but I think the NFL makes you prerecord the half time show and Chris only performs live. I read Imagine Dragons turned the half time performance down for that reason. I heard Chris say in an interview he never uses tracks, he believes people pay to see live performances.

This was one of the most beautiful National Anthem I ever heard. I could tell he put emotion into the song. It's not my country's National Anthem but when I saw a man tearing up, I teared up too. That didn't sound anything like the National Anthem other than the words. It was entirely different sound, tempo, and melody. Everything was different. These people need to realize it's not a concert. This is not the song for "artistic interpretation."

I have been to thousands of Chiefs games in my lifetime, every playoff game on the road and all three superbowls. I’ve heard hundreds of these and I get chills every time, but this one sent shock waves through my spine. For what it’s worth, I’ve never met a Nigerian that wasn’t an absolute delight. In fact, a Nigerian nurse practitioner, “Chinedu” saved my life here in Texas in 2021.

It’s a hard song to sing , it needs a person with perfect pitch . There is nothing like it being sung with such soul and depth of voice . It was perfect. Grammy for that performance alone .

I love how unabashedly American the Super Bowl is: military color guards, a shot of an aircraft carrier, a country musician with a smokey voice singing the star spangled banner playing the electric guitar, fighter jets streaming overhead, and, of course, american football itself is incredibly American. I love it, and I'm Canadian, by the way.

This Super Bowl was amazing. No headlines of nips showing, over sexy, fights breaking out, etc. It was the first time in a LONG time, I watched and thought my kids 10 and under could watch. It has been embarrassing for years, thank you to everyone who turned it around.

As a Canadian, I felt the same. Normally I wouldn’t like it that slow, but Chris’ version was so beautiful, heart stopping , gritty and gave me goosebumps. He knocked it out of the stadium!

The wife and I took a two week trip to the Gold Coast several years ago and spent all of 2 days of it at the beach...the rest was spent with some bogans we met who took us to the races at Willowbank. It was the best vacation we ever had before or since and as a Kentucky farm boy who's been a few places (Oorah!) I've never felt so welcome so far away. A couple of years later that same couple came here and we returned the favor. Australia is a 10 out of 10.

I’m 35 years old and I think I can count on one hand how many people have really moved me to tears when singing the national anthem and hands down this was one of them. How beautiful is Chris’ voice? It really did draw up some emotion. I always honor my uncle that fought the Nazis in WWII with the 82nd/504th, my cousin that died flying Hueys at the age of 22 in Vietnam, buddies that fought throughout the 20 year GWOT and now my son deployed overseas while we have our administration and Globalist extremists trying to provoke a World War. It was refreshing to have a Patriotic showing!!
