Chris is COMPLETELY WRONG...Bronny was NOT the 19th ranked player his senior in high school.....that's BS. Go look at ESPN, 247, Rivals....they moved him down in the rankings when they realized he wasn't a top 50 player nationally. He wasn't even the best player on his High School team and his team lost 11 games I believe.

He averaged 8.8 points his junior and that dropped his ranking. The kid couldn't even average 10 points in high school which is sad. Senior he averaged 14 points. How in the heck is that McDonald's all American? That's just insane. He was a 4 star ranking too then magically became a 5 star. The kid struggled against high school players and in college he struggles even more. He has never shown to be good at anything other than a vertical jump at the combine. He has no handles, no court vision, can't drive to the basket or finish, can't hit free throws, can't hit threes, no mid range or post game, struggles on defense, can't make simple reads. He can hustle on defense but that's about it.

The difference between Nepotism in the Front office and on the court is that no one is paying to come to see the people in the front office perform. The paying customer is paying to come watch their favorite team put the best players on the court/field so that they can watch and enjoy. This is why load management on the court is not equivalent to someone taking a vacation/sick day on their job. Because the paying customer is coming to watch the best product. Neptosim at some Fortune 500 company is not equivalent, because thousands of people aren't paying to come to watch them perform. The fans and the customers have a right to feel a way about who they now have to watch perform when they pay to see the team they've been a fan of since childhood play.

Giannis was a freaking child when he entered the nba, do you really think the Milwaukee bucks got on bended knee and drafted his brother because giannis demanded it? His brother was drafted to the NY.!! The media laughed in the kids face when he said he wanted to be the mvp, and you want me to believe that a whole entire organization drafted his brother off the strength of giannis alone.??? I think the argument is more nuanced than what they are both saying. This is a common practice. Understand robs argument about the cowboys and how it’s a family owned business …but Lebron is essentially a business. The lakers could have said no but bottom line it was in everyone’s best interest to draft bronny. It’ll be a great storyline next year..sell tickets and viewership. Bronny can develop under his dad and hopefully fly on his own when ready. It’s about making money and winning along the way. It’s a business on both ends and that’s whats. missing.

I don't understand the mindset people have with this being a problem. I 🙏 I put my kids in the best position possible. It shouldn't matter if it's in the business world or athletics. This is done all over the world on every level. He was selected 55th. Without looking it up, you can't name the 55th pick in the last 20 years. As the 55th pick, his contract is not guaranteed. Yes, it helps when your father is 1 - 5 EVER, wherever you may rank him, still in the league in year 22, playing well, got his son drafted on the same team he is on. I can't prove it, but I bet a over %50 of the people who has the biggest problem with this looks like Bronny. Yes, I look like Bronny to. Seriously Unfortunate, but this is what we do to each other. Congratulations Bronny 🙏 Now it's on you to stay in the league, I wish you blessings young man.

People, please keep in mind that Chris Broussard is a Klutch Sports guy. This is why he’s an advocate for Bronny James. I saw this kid play live in Alabama, and he was not good at all. He got drafted over better players like PJ Hall, Judah Mintz, Trey Alexander, Armando Bacot, Justin Edwards, and Isaac Jones. Let that sink in for a moment. The media talking point is “don’t talk to me about nepotism.”

Lebron didn't invent nepotism, it's everywhere. Bronny certainly isn't the first person to get a job based on something besides merits alone. I say, let the market play this one out. If he's terrible, the Lakers will either let him go or miss out on an opportunity to get someone better.

I feel bad for Bronny. Because not only will he never know the feeling of legitimately being drafted, and he will always be reminded that he needed his daddy to get in the league, but I don’t believe he actually wanted to leave college. This poor kid was forced to rush his dream by his father, who selfishly wanted him in the league as his own accomplishment. He wasn’t ready, and no one can honestly say that he was. His father knew it, but he didn’t care.
