5 transfers is brilliant. It's gonna get people switching players more often and not all of us having the same team.

How exactly will it get people to switch players more often? If anything it will happen less if people save up transfers. Most active players will probably not even get 3FTs at any point this season.

@@RatorSFPeople will be less hesitant on making transfers because they don't have to take a point hit. What If I have to make multiple transfers to get a player I can't afford also, it makes it way easier. If I save up 5 transfers and only use 2-3 then I can save back up easier if I just keep only using 1 or 2 transfers.

@@Ingenuity009 In theory yes, but as mentioned above, we will have the same amount of FTs (37). Yes, there may be scenarios where you are in a position to save up lots of FTs and use them at the same time, but in 99,9% of cases you'd be able to make the same moves in every previous season with a 2 FT cap. The chance of active players ever having more than 2 FTs is very small. Its very likely that you have lost points or made suboptimal decisions (rolling) if you have saved up 3+ FTs. Of course you may be lucky and have 4 rounds in a row where you don't have to change your team at all, but how many times have you had that happen during your time as a FPL manager? The chance of this change doing much to the overall dynamics of transfers is very very small.

Think it’ll be a no Salah season for me, you can see his decline is really creeping up on him despite a decent season last year but injuries are becoming more common and I highly doubt he’ll have more than 180 points this season

"Everyone is so expensive... they're really not" is clearly false. To get the team you had at the end of last season is a lot more expensive this year. Saka, Palmer, Gordon, Foden, Son, Eze, Haaland, Isak, Gvardiol, Mateta, etc. have all increased at least $1m and some $5m+ I think what Andy means is we can make great teams within our budget. But, I think it's fair for casual players to want to be able to have many of the big names. You cannot have Haaland, Salah, Palmer, Saka, and Foden cause that's almost $60m on just 5 players.

Well yeah… that’s because they were underpriced last year, of course fpl are gonna increase the price of the players that performed really well last year, they’re now fairly priced for how they performed. It would be really boring if we could have all those players again this year, now we actually have to decide which premiums to own throughout the season

many of those players had 'surprising' seasons, especially Palmer surely there will be players again who are priced at 6.5- who perform very well (I've got my eyes on Mavididi)

But you can do, Haaland, Salah, Palmer, Gordon, and Gabriel just for starters, with some concessions in other positions but still get the likes of Petrovic/Sanchez, Konsa, Guehl, Mykolenko, or Hojlund. Still a pretty great team and within the budget. So Andy is right. Last year you couldn't have all the players you wanted either, and you also never know who will breakaway this season...
