I kept Son in my team all the way through the asia cup and just bought Salah for 13.0 a week ago. Watching Son's value shoot up the last few weeks has been really satisfying considering a lot of people in my private league don't own him yet.

Planning with a budget to get as many good/ impact players in your team as you can is part of the strategy. Coming up with this new fantasy challenge that allows you to pick any players with budget not being an issue takes the sap out the game. Won't mind if that becomes a chip next season though.

A bit surprised that so many are planning minus 8s instead of using the WC. I get they want to save it for gw35 but surely with the WC now and all the transfers between now and 37, you can set up well for late doubles, beat price rises and avoid hits.

It only makes sense to wildcard now if you have your free hit still. If not, the only way you can have good doublers in 34, Chelsea/Spurs players for their multiple doubles afterwards and pick up 37 doublers in general is to wildcard in 35. Added bonus is being able to set up a perfect bench boost

@@jpjordan90 It's the only way. GW 34 assets to go for include ARS, LIV, EVE, CRY, WOL and BOU. The best for 37 are MCI, NEW, and MUN, from 35 onwards having 5 or 6 Spurs/Chelsea is also ideal due to their multiple double gameweeks. You can't go from 11 players from a select few teams to 11 (even 15 for bench boost) doublers from completely different teams on three free transfers. What are you talking about?

With Gordon as my 5th midfielder, I could move Watkins to Muniz to fund the Gordon to Salah move. Wasnt thinking bout getting rid of Watkins for Salah but I am thinking that this may not be a bad move

Hold, Newcastle away is still a good fixture for attacking returns. Especially with Botman out. Save transfer and bring him in next week against Sheffield United and no hit.

If Saka looks like he won't play then make the move, otherwise it isn't worth a hit to bench Saka or Solanke

@@croissantpower Thanks for advice! Follow up question: I need 3 FTs to move out 3 spurs players before GW34 and I plan to bring in Haaland for Watkins next week. So I'd basically miss out on a good run of fixtures for Palmer unless I take a hit. Your thoughts?

@@flashstep09 yeah Palmer has got a good run but a -4 to play him over Saka or Solanke isn’t great and then next GW he has Man Utd so he’ll likely be benched in your team. Next 2 after that are good but then it’s Arsenal and Aston Villa away so the transfer would mainly be worth it for GW32 and 33 and then the potential double in GW36 and that’s assuming he doesn’t get injured.

Eze overlooked as 8th attacker? Route to Salah and 34 doubler. More proven than Muniz or Mateta. Yes you may need to sell a good midfielder, maybe one at risk of Pep roulette.

Very much disagree on the Watkins discussion. He is arguably the most important asset to FPL this year and should be in everyone's teams. He is so key to how Villa play and it is very rare a goal doesn't go through him. A must better asset than Haaland and allows you to distribute money elsewhere. Countless 15+ pointers this season and has even been relied on by many as captain each week
