Rest In Peace one of Australia's finest and most exciting car manufacturer, sadly I will never own a brand new FPV as I am only 18 but I will own one in future times. sad to see you go and I hope for a return to Australia in later years.

51 years a ford man they even delivered right up till the end of production the power they get out of those 5.4 engines is amazing and go back to the xy era always been the benchmark ford forever

Like so many, I grew up in Fords & there was always at least one Falcon among them (dad always had four or five cars at any time in the 60s & 70s) Losing the Falcon nameplate forever is another severed connection from my dad. I actually get pretty bloody emotional about it.. there's a BF MK2 Boss in my garage for sunny weekends + holidays.. but one day I'd love to park an FPV alongside it. The old man would've loved it.

Great video! This hit home the end of the Falcon is real! You feel excited to see the return of the 351 but know the Falcon icon will soon be no longer. One couldn't imagine what It must be for the Australian car manufacturing employees who don't know where their futures lie. It is a remarkable salute for the Falcon icon that has provided us with safe Australian made cars on our roads for over fifty years. Vale the Ford Falcon, Vale the Australian car industry.

A big thank you to all the guys at Ford and those from the old Tickford and FPV. I have always been devoted to Ford ever since I learnt mechanics starting at age 11 my first car I ever worked on was a bronze XY sed with a 302 running a 351 crank bored out 60thou with a 35/75 cam bolted to a 4speed toploader to a 9inch diff that was one strong engine it blew up 3 toploaders that I knew of. My mate who owned it use to take her down the dragstrip running high 11s to low twelves with a big crack in the bellhousing and retreads on the back, it would launch from the trees with the right hand front wheel off the ground she was a great car and this was back in the early 90s. Ever since that day my passion for working on cars began especially fords I've owned three fords over the years my first a 87zl fairlane where I totally redesigned the intake system so it wasn't crossing over the exhaust manifold and ported and polished the head and a few other things next was a AU 2 the 70th or 75th anniversary edition didn't much to it just got rid of the rear muffler and replaced it with a straight thru pipe to increase torque. I now own a BA series 1 xt which I've put in the Fairmont interior and premium sound with xr6 suspension and soon the turbo once I get back to Vic. It makes me feel empty now that the doors are closing on 80+years of history across both manufacturers it just won't be the same buying a Ford built overseas especially our large cars they just won't be built Aussie Tough. Thank you Ford Australia for 80+ years of great Aussie cars you will be missed.

Watched this beautiful video a number of times . I can only ever dream of owning one of these but it's a lovely dream . Wouldn't say no to a GT-P or even a GS either one day .. Don't laugh but I get a similar feeling from owning my April 2008 build so literally one of the very first FG XR6's to roll off the line . She isn't the Turbo , she's not got the premium pack , she's got no factory options except the beaut ZF 6 speed auto but she is a sweet , sweet car and literally drives like new even today.. Also got an AU Series 2 Futura ..Equally great to have...Love them both ..

I would love to a whole new documentary by Ford Australia on the history of the GT branding, From first concept, to this very last release. Would be good to see the history of the evolution, including stock footage as well as racing history and footage. RIP to an icon. Blue blooded forever.......

( Well atleast in you're garage and heart :) I've had falcons since I was old enough to drive and they have got me a million miles in comfort and reliabilty. I have a AU XR8 and a ED XR6 and they are going NOWHERE. I've had many a argument and even a fallout over my loyalty to the blue ovel. Always FORD, Always the MIGHTYFORDFALCON

All I can say is wow... such an emotional video! As a young kid growing up through the Tickford era and in the later years FPV i'm saddened to see the end, but grateful that the work and passion was put in for a fitting tribute... This video makes me proud to be a ford supporter! Would absolutely love a high res wallpaper of the shot at 4:12 and 4:14 of the GT-F and XR GT would this be possible?

A beautifully made video of a true Australian Icon, but the truth is these vehicles aren't at all that good. They don't turn in well, there brake feel is very average and steering feel leaves much to be desired. The saddest thing is though, this vehicle could have been truly fantastic, we can see that first hand with the Coyote motor that powers it. A truly amazing engine, which was muzzled ALOT because the rest of the vehicle wasn't up to the task of utilising all it had to offer. And that is not Ford Australia's fault, the division is simply not given the necessary funds to build a 'GREAT" falcon by it's bosses in the U.S How this car will truly become great is by you and me...the owners, the individuals who will modify these cars to be what they should have been, to maximise their potential and to ensure that in 30 years time when everything is either electric or Hydrogen, that hopefully that generation will get to experience the noise,drama and pride of a big Australian muscle car. R.I.P

This video is as sad as it is brilliant! I still can't understand Ford US decision to kill our falcon and fpv range. They should have converted it the lhd as exported it. Americans would have loved the falcon and the ute range over the mustang taurus and F series. The Australian government had its hand to play also. And FPV must take ownership that we did not need so many variants we should had a GT and GT- HO. Not GT, GTE GTP etc and then kill the xr8 for the GS. so many bad decisions. We needed a falcon, a fairlane, xr6, xr6t, xr8, GT, GT-HO, and F6, falcon ute, 1 tonner ute, xr6, xr6t, xr8, F6, and pursuit ute. we should have kept the territory and F6x and a station wagon with a turbo and or v8 option. The advertising was awful. constant focas ads of voice radio and waving at other focas owners was ridiculous. Should have kept the Australian tennis open. I won't ever buy a mustang or tauras. I will be forced to continually buy second hand Australian models. The v8 super cars will die. Its very very sad. The xe-eb without a v8 was also a bad decision. And the au T series was something very special that really has only been matched towards the end. I thank Ford tickford and fpv Australia for all they have done. This really is heart breaking.

Love the sound of the Ford, especially the noticeable supercharger whine. However, to be honest the video just made it look like a nerds vehicle. They somehow managed to get the dorkiest looking crowd in every shot from the first. The add screams I can't get laid & am overly emotional about my car. But I'm a sexless dork so I love it more than anything. Common Ford? Did you run out of marketing coin. Seriously, these cars should have a cool image, you wrecked it with his hillbilly add! And it would have been good if it was faster than a GTS.

what program? a dyno tune on a gs will take power above this level and no where near enough focus on suspension/brake/tyres, honestly I'm a holden man but I was excited to see what ford what do as a last song for the GT......what a disappointment

Work hard ? Are you serious ? They took a fg gt and put some decals on it lol a $1000 tune on a old 315 or 335 will have it well above the new specs , I'm very disapointed ! With no considerable changes any one can go buy a Chinese made GTF badge and pretend and we all know some losers WILL do that , it should have been make and designed in a way that there is no mistaking it for a GTF and have such significant changes that it would be hard to replicate , well bring on the 2018 American made GT Falcon I suppose

This not a gt falcon its a glorified ea falcon with a xd taxi steering wheel with a superchrged v8 that has way more then 335kw according to the dynos and slow for the huge hp it produces.The ford engineers that made the real gt,s well done and the dropkicks that made these cars should be put in jail
