You are an inspiration to me. I’ve not been a practicing Christian up to four years ago. Stuff happens in life of course and I came to faith then. I have ended up in Otley at that stage of my life and I really appreciate your talks. Love and peace. Tim

I could doubt my own existence, before I could doubti the existence of the Lord. Too many miracles in my life!! It is too late for me. Truly a route I cannot longer take. I’ve heard His sweet voice in my heart. A gift, that still doesn’t ensure salvation. It’s in “obedience” to God, where the greatness of the miracle of salvation truly lays. With God’s helping grace, we can pass through the eye of a needle, to heaven.

Sooooo goood. I wish our parish priests would be willing to take a risk and preach this word to us regularly. They seem to never teach us how if we trust God what He can do through us simple folk. This was extremely inspiring. Thank you Father Columba.

One of the problems of modernism in the church is that deprived all sense of the supernatural or divine that the church possesses. First thing is that in the Bible Jesus says that we will recognize for to heal and expels spirits and how Father Columba explained it is not us but the power that JC gives to the church and it’s members, nobody used it, so sad! Now I healed myself not magically because Catholics don’t do magic, only wihh the the power of prayer and the Faith I have, faith is the most powerful weapon. We don’t doubt as Peter when he saw the water under his feet in spite of Jesus was there with him. Bishops and priests have also the power to heal but obviously for practical reasons they cannot do it openly, many members of the clergy have lost the faith, another thing that is important to remember it’s that we need to be in state of Grace to be more effective and as JC said when the apostles couldn’t expel some spirits “ these are more stubborn, you need fast and pray more”. So when we want to help someone we must do some fasting and pray more, simple like that. We fast one a week because we are fighting some demons who are around one of our sons, when I wasn’t a Catholic I didn’t understand so I don’t have the knowledge and the tools that the church has, and when we converted in the beginning still very ignorant and a priest told me to put some sacramentals in my son room and after put all the blessed salt around his room when I got out I was attacked in my mind by demons and that is one of the ways they do it, thoughts of despear “ he doesn’t love you “, why you still insist in helping your son” “ he is a selfish human and he doesn’t care about you a bit”, things like that, then for a second I feel what I call “ a second of Hell” I feel what hopelessly means, and that is what He’ll is a place where Hope doesn’t exists and that is one of the worst experience in my life but it lasts seconds. Now, because of that I know that there’s abundance Hope in this world that it does matter things are bad or wrong still there’s hope and that Hope is sustained by God’s Grace that never abandon us. Now if you suffer an attack you must call Mother because she is the fort one there to help you, I didn’t recognize the attack for what it was at the beginning but I got into my car and I have a rosary and I touched the rosary and the thoughts started to disappear and then I understood and started to pray to Mary. I was an unbeliever of all these things and the existence of a spiritual dimension that are in constant contact with the physical dimension. But it’s tangible. Now we must not be afraid and neither obsess with this, learn from St Teresa of Avila, she is a great teacher and how to deal with these spirits, we must remember that they are losers but of course still have much power for its nature, now we have the power of our Lord JC so although not in a direct confrontation with the demons ( never do that) but in an indirect way asking help to Mother and Jesus and invoking their power you can defend yourself and don’t fall for their tricks, sometimes we fall because we are weak or easy to mislead because we are not strong in the Faith, so be strong in the Faith and you will be good.

The power that works in Catholics is the same as the power that works in us Protestants. We might be worshipping in different ways, but it's obviously the same God who reacts to our worship, because he works in exactly the same way in many Protestant churches - the words of knowledge, the warmth felt when healing happens, etc. We're all part of the same body of Christ.

Thank you for this precise explanation of your experience with healing. I have lost three people close to me with very serious illnesses. I thought death was a relief to them because of their discomfort. Two of them, were receiving The Eucharist until the end of their lives. The last one was a former Catholic, yet, still Christian. One other person is living with multiple conditions and yet isn't in need of care, only prayers for her discomfort and health conditions. In the last few years, several acquaintances died and several others have illnesses that, if untreated, would pose a serious risk. Staying in one place long enough, one is eventually going to meet people of all ages and health stages. I don't work in health care. I'm able to offer prayers. However, I would no want to give false hope to someone near death.

Apologies somewhat distraught after abortive camping trip .I find your teachings and interpretations of the scripture in the main most helpful they are appreciated . Yes realized later probably inappropriate original comment , I too believe very much in the Healing of people on all levels and of Jesus's mission or vocation of healing that he would and will heal demonstrating God's love for all and His Will being in line with this request and repeated pea for healing , it will be answered , have faith or rather we or I must have Faith . It is singularly perhaps one of the most important aspects of Jesuss life that he healed on request that he was ever open to the suffering of others and that he as the son of God or His perfect emissary, the "messiah" , the chosen One , was granted this miraculous power whilst on earthe . God empower us all to continue to plea to God for healing .

Is it bad that I help people heal their anxiety and depression through calming techniques and even dietary changes? I'm recently back in the church but have 30 years of experience helping clients heal from trauma, but also in learning techniques that help them handle their daily stresses. I want to do only what Christ wants me to do. I need to know if Christ doesn't want me to help in this way. If people should only turn to God and not me, I need to know. I am praying on this, but someone like this speaker might have helpful and holy guidance for me.

Bless you and all you do for the broken. The Lord will work through those who minister in love. But will work more powerfully when we minister in His name. Forgiveness, childhood trauma, ungodly relationships, family curses and occult involvement. May the Lord bless you in all you do to build His Kingdom on earth. GBU Douglas
