I've got a friend who was a PhD candidate in neuroscience. He loves the story of Jesus' healing of the blind man whom he heals in two stages-he opens his eyes and the man sees people "walking around like trees." Then Jesus heals him again and he sees like everyone else. What was amazing to this friend of mine, convincing him of Jesus' divinity-the story means Jesus healed his eyes, then healed his mind's ability to perceive (very much like the healing of the deaf man's tongue so he spoke regularly although he had no experience with hearing or making those sounds). That distinction between eyes' ability to see and the mind's ability to perceive wasn't known until the 20th century, yet there it is in ancient scripture!

To whoever is reading this: I hope you know that despite any storms you are going through, that God is with you and He loves you. Do not be afraid.

Thank you Father Mike Schmitz. I'm falling in love with Jesus more and more each day. I go to Adoration and pray to Jesus. "I want to love you more each day" I'm learning more about what Mass really is all about and the Eucharist. Now with this Covid 19 and we cannot attend Mass if we are 65 and older with underlying conditions. It is very sad for me and I cry and I know Jesus is listening to my heart and Jesus cries with me. Adoration just opened for 2 people at a time. We sign up and as long as there is not a group or crowd I can attend. AWESOME!! Our Priests brings us the Eucharist every Thursday morning if we call and ask them to come. We are blest to belong to the Catholic Church of St. Peter's here in North St. Paul. Our Priests are from Italy and they love all of us and they know what it means to attend to their flock. Our parish is large and they take the time to come to our home, I look forward to our Thursday's. Listening to Father Mike's talks on the Eucharist, Mass and confession has opened my heart and is helping me to grow more each day. I pray someday I could go to confession to Father Mike. I really believe I was confessing to Jesus. Father Mike is blest with the Holy Spirit, he has a quiet spirit and loves like Jesus loves!! I will keep listening to Father Mike's talks. God Bless you Fr. Mike Schmitz. Quite honestly after watching some of your videos I was shocked by 'Surprised by The Truth.' It took my roller coaster ride of devoutness to rationalization to devoutness to rationalization until I was 58 years old. Yet, I believed what The Church taught on some things you struggled with; only I got into a relationship with my first love of 1981 over and over again; but it is a long story. What it really was is that I didn't let the Lord Jesus Christ heal me of extreme emotional neediness and extreme need for validation from others starting in early childhood --- another long story that many others have been through. But, now, I live as a bachelor, and have a certain private 'Rule,' starting with morning prayers and Lauds and through the day prayers and works --- often Daily Mass --- and I am deeply committed to the Sacredness of Life --- something the Lord put indelibly on my heart for almost thirty years now. And we need all the help we can get for that. Thank you for your sharing Jesus Christ and your testimonies. And the wake up call of I have been called to a relationship, and companionship with Jesus Christ - it wasn't a mere ethical, moral, religious decision - I think you credited Pope Emeritus Benedict xvi with that from the Encyclical on Charity. Peace and warm regards.

I know what you're going through, Miguel. I was told about Fr Mike by my daughter. She's been blessed and is back to being a faithful Catholic. I'm blessed by listening to all his homilies.
