You can still beat this before colors (actually level 103) with 100% tetris rate from level 18 --- impossible though. Realistically, a deep colors run will be required to best this mark. Alex had a 0.4% tetris rate in this game and due to scaling he still managed 6,844.18 points/line. A perfect N74 run is 89.1M which put Alex at 18.2% of perfect and I projected him to end level 255 with 27.9M based on this run. There's still room to move the goal post on WR with an efficient run.

It's the love of the game. I've never seen a community like the classic Tetris community. They go out of their way to support each other and build each other up, because their true goal is seeing how far the game can be pushed.

Alex T's "NO! I missed the game crash!" followed by "take the single" at 11:43 was a *perfect* portrayal of Fractal live reacting to BlueScuti's original game crash. I'm sure that was intentional on his part, but if he legit thought the game would end, yet makes it to 16 MIL regardless is *EPIC!!!*

I think if charcoal was the 810 lines level it might have been rebirth with how well he was playing on that level. It will be interesting to see if he tries for rebirth with a better 810 line color choice.

and that is why we need to stop saying IF and start saying WHEN with tetris progression. there have been a lot of questions about if bluescuti's record would ever be broken. not three months later and he was more than doubled.

If you go by what this levels points are by lines removed per clear at 235, singles worth 9,440 pts, doubles are worth 23,600, triples are worth 70,800, and Tetris worth a staggering 283,200, and thats for 800 line clears before the next level comes. To play perfect Tetris just at this level alone, would be 200 Tetrises, or a crazy 56.64 million just for level 235, which again would be next to improbable to achieve, let alone the fact that to get all Tetris from 18 to the end of 235. (Duh forgot that level 0 is also a level and edited my original post to add additional points to the single, double, triple, and Tetris points by 1 level also) Eventually, someone will get to rebirth, if the game manages to not crash to that point, but congrats to Alex hitting 16.4 mil and for reaching the 800 line level, both which are world records for this game. Again when rolling was introduced now like 3 years ago, the only thing that would stop rolling is stamina, but also this would be the meta gameplay to being in CTWC, to where now CTWC implemented the 39 killscreen to eliminate multi hour matches once rolling became the meta strategy. To all of a sudden having to study particular clearing of the game to avoid crashing Tetris, now in what appears to now reach rebirth, and this has just started. And now becoming the only thing left to reach for to beat Tetris, even though we all know, if rebirth can be achieved, the game could be played infinity outside of avoiding game crash. Simply this has been a crazy 5 plus months of the evolution of Tetris that no one thought 35 plus years ago that wouldnt ever happen.

It's a Modded version of the game that the mayority of the community uses for ease of seeing scores and just generally quality of life changes, however, the crash is due to a quirk in the Original version of the game that has to do with how the score is calculated and displayed, since this is a Modded version that changes the score to display bigger numbers, the crash is unable to occur.

Wait... did they have a CHOICE to turn that 800 line level green? If so, they robbed this kid if rebirth. That's almost as bad as murder. Lol. A joke. Anyway, I'm not sure if it is possible to to get to rebirth, due to eye strain. They were pretty strained by this point, and once you start to go blurry, there's no stopping it.

who's "they"? no one had a choice to. the game's code causes it. it would have been charcoal color if he was on original hardware due to a bug. this bug was inadvertently fixed on tetris gym, which is what he was on. however, this caused it to be on greeeeeen instead.

@@monodragon i dont know.... it sounds like they did have a choice. They being, whoever altered the game and caused a color change for whatever reason. So, if you start on level 18 in tetris gym, the long level will be green? But if you start on other levels, it's not green?

@@JayS.-mm3qr if you start on level 10-19 on this mod, it will be greeeeeen. if you did on an original cartridge, it would be charcoal. the bug causing this is a weird one; because of how levels were calculated, at a certain point around level 70-77 you are guaranteed to have the color scheme not increase by a color. on gym, this was fixed accidentally, and it just so happens that a long ways down the road, the 810 line level happens to be greeeeeen instead of charcoal. the bug was accidentally fixed years before anyone got close to the glitched colors before.

@@monodragon i see, thanks. Do you know what color the long level is, if peeps play before level 10? I dont think anyone can beat 80 levels of green or charcoal, and all the other levels in the same run. I think the colors for that level would have to be good, to achieve rebirth.
