With that this concludes all the matches played at the genesis venue... But there is one more we have in store for you guys. A rare 3rd place match that was played online. This was one of the most memorable experiences for me. My commentary still needs some work so I hope to continue to improve by the time CTWC rolls around. Definitely my favorite event to attend so far in my entire career

Your commentary needs to be more subdued. Less hamming typical to sports announcers and more sedate, calm explanation of events typical to documentary narrators. Of course practice makes perfect.

@@ITZsharky1 If commentary is from single person then play-by-play is better option in my books. Might harken back to audio only-medium of radio when listeners had to be made aware of what is happening. With more visual medium of television color commentary became possible as viewers were able to see what happened. Just slight and flawed history lesson. If two announcers are there I think best choice is one providing color and one providing play-by-play and those roles can be switched around if necessary. Two announcers going on same track tends to overwhelm listener's attention span. You are good enough announcer and definitely can and should improve.

@@ITZsharky1 Agreed, since you are an experienced commentator, I am sure you understand how important having structure and mutual understanding with the co-casters is. I can imagine how frustrating it must be when you are constantly interrupting each other. For many people, especially when an exciting situation ensues, doing play-by-play is a natural impulse. In my opinion, you are hands down the best commentator in terms of the play-by-play style. It is up to you to find a great partner who compliments that style. Who knows? Maybe JD can hop on the mic with you if he shows up this year in Pasadena 👀👀👀👀👀👀

thing is there is super mega level 39 killscreen on tournaments and there is not on the alex t records. the killscreen also forces players to play more aggressively, causing more topouts.

In the original game, the speed does not increase anymore after level 29. Consequently, players who can play at level 29’s speed can play for so many levels until the color glitches or the game crashes. While impressive, each game may last for hours, which is not feasible for tournaments. Therefore, they play a modified version of the game, which increases the speed once again at level 39, ensuring that no current players can past the level.

@meinkanta
@meinkanta Ай бұрын
I think the commentators explained they were “push down points”, afaik if you press the down arrow in-game the pieces descend faster and this earns you points. It’s not something many players use to get points in-game as it’s only a tiny amount of points and generally you want more time to place the piece and think about your move for the next piece, not less 😅

This is so confusing. What does "regional" finals mean? Is there a *real* non-regional finals, or was this all of it? Are there multiple CTWC championships? Is Genesis one of them? Which one is considered the *true* CTWC championship? Also, when did this event actually take place? Is there an official website with an up-to-date schedule of events, standings, results, prizes, etc. (a lot of thectwc site seems to be out of date by a few years)? I wish you would put all this info in the description box so people can more easily understand the significance of these events.

I appreciate the feedback I do understand the levels. on my streams and when I commentate online it’s perfectly fine. But we were experience audio issues all weekend and working with an unfamiliar audio interface. Each time we changed scenes audio levels were never the same. We believed that there was a duplicate audio source leading to things being twice as loud as they were. I also had to be close to the mic so the PA system would actually pick up so the audience there could hear the commentary. CTWC it the mic won’t be peaking nearly as much simply because we’ll be working with a familiar audio interface and system
