We're refacing our existing brick fireplace and in this video we're going to kick off our family room renovation series! Renovating the fireplace will be the first major project in this space. To start, we're framing a new metal stud wall with drywall and cement board over our existing fireplace.

Did you guys hire a camera man? I don’t know her name, but the girl in this video is super talented way to go the time lapsed visuals along with the no-frills explanation works perfectly. I didn’t get bored, and I actually watched a video all the way through nicely done.

What aspects did you find most difficult about the actual construction with these materials (after the rigors of project planning!)?

Trying to keep everything square and level! Also trying to think about the best way to attach all of the metal studs together since we are more used to working with wood studs
