Tory; You could have used your circular saw to make the notches in your wood vs your jig saw you just set your depth by lowering or raising your table on your circular saw. Also your circular and jig saws can do angle cuts by rotating the tables using the grey knobs on the fronts of the saws. I hope this helps down the road when you want to do angle cuts without a miter saw. My name is Rod I am the owner of House to Home Construction LLC. I like the way you framed the ceiling. I'm thankful I had the help of a young man installing the screws as the self tapping screws into metal are hard to do. I like your innovation when you didn't have a brush.

I've been a novice woodworker for decades and that's the first rabbet cut with a saber saw I've ever seen. Bravo! This old dog is learning new tricks when in a pinch. I enjoy your antics.

Predrill pilot holes so your metal screws go in easier. 💪 if you make the holes in the wood slightly bigger then the screw it will actually tighten down much better.

Tori try warming up your caulking, put it on the floorboard of your van and turn the heat on just for a little bit though. Just make sure it’s warm because when it’s cold, it’s really hard and that’s what breaks your caulking gun….. You could also set it out in the sun too.👍😎

Hi Tory need to add a clamp to the handle to create screw driver roller mk2. Then a longer shaft on the screwdriver and a multiple looped rubber band to stop roller slipping off and you have the mk2.1

Love that you’re a nerd like me. Great video, I highly recommend using a predrill especially for going into the metal. I’ve done quite a bit of carpentry work. I drive a semi truck these days. Oh I’ll be in PA tomorrow if you find yourself there and need those couple of screws drilled all the way in. 😂

Pre-drill the holes in the wood to keep them from splitting. Use a drill bit just a little larger than your screw even if it is a self-drilling fastener. You can also pre-drill the holes in the steel that you don't have the arm strength. In this case, use a smaller drill bit than the fastener.

Nice use of the screw driver. You should paint the cut ends and Krieg holes if you really want to seal the wood. The board ends can be a sponge.

If you wrap the screwdriver with tape the roller would fit tightly and not fall off, but I like the 'make do' attitude. You already seem to embrace the old adage,' perfect is the enemy of good enough ' ,good luck.
