Wait what was that about two girls going at it? lol A couple weeks ago I was in 90 degree heat, sitting in the middle of a Walmart parking lot. Because that gave me the best solar. I did not realize how hot it was getting cuz I had my legs on my computer which can get hot so I just thought it was that. I got up to use the bathroom and notice I was very dehydrated. Which was odd since I just got done eating lunch. Then I started feeling sick. I thought I just needed to cool off so I drank and sat with the car AC on but I was not getting better. I decided if I was gona die, I shouldnt do it at a Walmart. Luckily there was a truck stop across the street. Long story short, I had the runs for 6 hours and my RV was too hot to use my own bathroom to deal with it in. Once I was done at the truck stop, also luckily there was a KOA nearby so I went there to plug in and use my AC. Point of the story is, I can not handle the heat. So I have no idea how you handled heat above 100 degrees. Some people are just built different I guess. lol

Try sleeping in a hamock, in the van. It should be cooler than a bed. The air can circulate around you. Also Ecoflow makes an AC unit that is supposed to be good. I think it's expensive. If you have the funds get an extra battery. Charge one while you use the other.

Why don't you just buy a window unit and a back rack bumper hitch rack I guess you could call it, get yourself a gas powered generator get yourself a window unit air conditioner cut a board stick it in the front window and cool the van down like that, I did that for a long time before I just took out the back window and stuck the house unit into the window with a piece of wood and yeah it looks a little redneck, but you know what I am a little redneck, and it keeps me and my dog's cool in my van all summer long, I have not had one problem with it and if you get yourself a house plugs and a RV style cord, you can plug in just about anywhere you want with an adapter unit for 110 outlet for the RV cord, it's not hard, like I've seen so many people complaining about oh living in a van it's so hard, no it's not.

You don't owe anyone anything. Do your thing. As KZfaqrs we provide free, in-depth entertainment that is often better than paid TV or streaming services and some of the things people say in the comments are ludicrous and usually come from people who wouldn't even know who to edit a video of them talking to the camera 👍

Home is where your heart is, I live out of the back of my truck which isn't the easiest. I will upgrade to a van soon, but I love take weekend trip somewhere beautiful with no worry of where I'll sleep. I love the videos and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the build. Stop worrying about what others think, it's not healthy. P.S. I'd totally date you. I think you're amazing and I got a thing for nerds.

I should send this channel to my aspiring van life nieces. The fact that a van life KZfaqr, who's income is entirely van life related, can't finish outfitting a van after months should show how hard it is.

I’ve been living in my minivan in Phoenix for 2 yrs. I can totally relate to mornings being way too hot and having to find somewhere to be during the day. I ended up renting a band rehearsal space that has 24 hr access but you aren’t allowed to live here. I’m fortunate enough that my job lets me park and plug in at their spot overnight. Thank you for having this conversation because every now and then the am I homeless question comes up. Love the life but some days it is a little close haha

if you have a place to eat, sleep, shower, poop and storage for your stuff, you are never homeless.

Been at it over a year. I’m just homeless. Tired of constantly looking for places to sleep, poop, shower and feeling like a criminal for it. In cities, there is no stealth, you’re not welcome everyone knows what you’re doing. In nature there are people everywhere…literally every-fucking-where. If you’re considering leaving your home and selling everything because you think it’s going to be cool. It isn’t and it isn’t cheap either.

Why not do the doors of durin on one side of the door and the mirror of erised on the other? Mirror of erised on the living area side so you can use it, and then paint the doors of durin on the cab side in blacklight sensitive paint so that it can glow under a blacklight but not be a dead giveaway that its a campervan.
