Back in 1996, author Frances Mayes introduced a generation to the joys and struggles of restoring relics in Europe, when she shared her tale of bringing a 200-year-old Italian farmhouse back to life. And later, this charming story was made into a movie. We caught up with Frances to see how life is going for her in lockdown.
