The reporter tried to get back at Francis with the 2nd question but made a fool out of himself again. The amount of disrespect was unreal. Very glad Francis stood his ground and defended himself.

True. The second question was framed as an insult to try and trap Francis, but it fell flat because the reporter's delivery was poor. The embarrassed reporter wanted to "save face" after he got booed by the crowd for misquoting Francis.

Yeah because they understand how difficult is this life. Some people dying everyday just for survival. Some people don't know that because they were born with spoon in their mouths . When you have to wake up every morning to go work 10-20 hours for 200 or 250$ per days you will understand why people screaming.

That reporter is a tool. When someone says that was my toughest fight, they are comparing it to previous fights. It literally has nothing to do with future opponents. That’s not the same as saying my opponent is easy. Logic fail.

@@englishfam9675 Difficult to say without knowing the people. Francis had a more difficult and poor life before to succeed than a lot of people. He enjoyed now for sure and certainly show it sometimes in front of camera, but it does not necessarily mean he has a big ego, who believes he's the best or who forgot where he comes from and so on. They have different personalities for sure, above all because of different backgrounds but regarding egos, difficult to say.

In this setting though, and with Ngannou chances are you can talk with him without him getting crazy, even be a bit of an ass. I'm just saying that unless you are dealing with a mad man you can, and should be able to speak without treading on eggshells. Of course there are boundries and they vary from person to person.

I'm very glad Francis defended himself, these reporters are constantly trying to take advantage of the fact that he's soft spoken and paint him as a bad person, causing drama by misconstruing his words (English is his third language, mind you). Anyways, this was a very satisfying moment for someone who's been following his career early on.

The French are in their feelings because Francis left and went to America. They are trying to build mma there and frankly don't have as many established gyms as US, Brazil, Russia, etc. They were hoping Francis would be the face representing there, and Lopez said as much in another interview. I don't really know if it's a play (or joke or game). I proved that I deserve this place by training and winning. Now I hope he will take me seriously and I hope that we will have a good fight." The way Cyril answered the question was really passive agressive and Francis wanted to make sure that the reporter stopped instigating a non existent feud between the fighters. Being the toughest fight doesn't mean that the next opponent will be easier but meaning that the fight until now there's only one tougher.

It takes a TON of work and mental energy to force yourself to speak in you non-primary language all of the time, I’m on my third too and we only speak German on Saturdays and it SUCKS.

Real French people are all arrogant, Cyril & ngannou were raise different than real FRENCH, Cyril is from "Guadeloupe" small island who belongs to France and Ngannou is a migrant from "Cameroun", both country are very kind people, that's make the difference. I'm also french from another small island which belong also to France and we can't stand people like the French reporter because is in their nature to be arrogant.

That seemed an easy fight to us but look at it from Francis' prospective: he rushed him wildly and got countered multiple times, if one of those shots connected well Francis could've been ko'd. It takes balls to rush like that with the chin up in the air against a dangerous heavyweight. Francis took a big risk. So I wouldn't consider that "easy".

lol you think preparing months in advance physically mentally, sparring making sure your diet is clean knowing the other guy is also doing the same with the intention to KO you is easy?
