@@angelgregio To be fair many said Cain was the most wasted potential despite being 2x champ. He was 30 when his career virtually ended. Think about that. He had like 2 more fights after 30, both losses and still till this day holds HW records in so many categories.

I feel like I heard Cain kinda yell after he went for the single leg takedown attempt and had hurt his leg there then let go and rushed Ngannou up against the fence on one good leg then ate the punch and both of his legs completely gave out there. Could also be mistaken

Jon Jones had several fights with over a year in between, and I believe his last one was over 3 years without a fight, and he might have been slower at heavyweight, but he came back and dominated and won the fight in the first round. Cains problem was injuries mostly, not the time. Look how easily his knee blew out. Rust is real though, and he should have had a warm up fight.

Not domination, but a KO. His knee blew out also. Cain crushes him in his prime. Even here I don't think Ngannou had the skills to actually dominated Cain. He wasn't well rounded enough especially then. I don't look at KO's as destruction because bad fighters can get lucky and KO better fighters pretty easily, you know what I mean?

@@melvintimajo6523 yeah he got hit, *then* put his weight on the knee and the knee itself GAVE, therefore he FELL because of the knee. 2+2 =4. Its fucking common sense, you have to be blind to not see that. Had it been his other knee he most likely wouldnt have fallen, and the fight would've continued. He didnt have his eyes rolled back as he was falling, like a fighter normally does after being concussed from a hit. Nor did he fall stiff. He was still moving around. He was however squinting, but thats obviously from the pain of the obvious knee that twisted at a weird angle. Squinting and yelling isnt something some one normally does after being uppercut dropped. With this being said theres absolutely ZERO visible evidence that that uppercut (though connected) even rocked him. Cain doesnt have a glass chin, and fighters get hit all the time. It wasnt the punch that stopped the fight. It was the knee. The punch MADE him put his weight on his knee yes, but thats normal, what f*cked him up was the weak condition of his knee. He put his weight on the wrong knee in that particular second. Thats all. Again, common sense.

I sometimes catch myself wishing Cain would come back. He got injured and we didn't see nearly enough of the guy, and was just a complete animal, dominated just about everyone. Even at his current age I'd love to see a comeback if he got his injuries under control. I mean start him against easier guys and see how he does first. He's older and hasn't fought at all so that would need to happen.

@@CarlosDesantiago-wv8ld I can see many ways how Fedor beats Cain. I don't see how Cain can beat a prime Fedor. He's either getting KO-ed or submitted by Fedor. I would say the same for post "god's will" Fedor vs. prime Fedor. Sure, Cain was a beast, but he was pretty punchable. Prime Fedor had it all. Cain would have a better chance under the inferior UFC rules because those make it easier for wrestlers, as they can't get their head soccer kicked after missing a TDA, etc. Still, I see a prime Fedor overcoming anything but a lucky cut. As for cardio. I never saw Fedor in a situation Cain was when he fought Werdum. Fedor was also a cardio machine.

Yeah. Cain vs Jones was a superfight for the ages that everyone used to talk about. I don't know who would win, but they were both next level, and people thought maybe Cain would have been the guy to stop Jon and do it when Jon was fighting a couple times a year. Now he barely fights and is getting older. Hopefully Jon trains really hard and is ready for his next couple fights, because he need to be at his beat for the last fights of his career. 3 years off and come back and destroys Gane, absolute freak. Zero punches landed (discounting those to the back of the head)....I'm not even sure why the fight was stopped. I guess any time a guy "fetals up", its fair game to call the fight...but this was odd. Hats off to Cain for even getting in the octagon, though. Ngannou's fist is a bowling ball.

Ngannou posted his left arm on the top of Cain's head and landed a really solid right hook right on Cain's chin. You can't see it from the camera angle but if you look closely you will see Cain's head pop up a moment before his legs give way.
