Thank you Francis for another fantastic 'France Airplay Charts' video through which I discovered a couple of great French songs, namely 'C'est ta chance' & 'Il changeait la vie' by Jean-Jacques Goldman, 'John' by Desireless (in most countries she was a one-hit wonder), 'Blue comme toi' by Etienne Daho and 'La vie la nuit' by Début de soirée. 👍

C'etait superb......INXS, A-ha, Depeche Mode, Black, Terence Trent, Womack and Womack, Enya- well deserved no. 1! And what a good time for French music......And such hidden treasures like 4:36, 13:06, 13:44, 20:00.............Chapeau bas for your work, Francis, how does it feel to have surpassed yourself again?

Merci Francis! Interesting looking at what was popular on French radios during 1988. Some classics and even some French language songs I recognise such as 'Evidenment', 'John' and 'Un Roman d'Amitie'. This really was the year of the Pet Shop Boys. Dana Dawson is pretty sad to see her songs now considering she died rather young. 'Yeke Yeke' is a masterpiece. Kim Wilde was on fire then. I do prefer Kylie's version of 'The Locomotion' over the original. The 'Bad' album is a masterpiece. Karoline Kruger was the Norwegian entrant for Eurovision in 1988 whom came 5th. Thank you for this brilliant video as always 👍

C'est marrant, la chanson où on a l'air d'entendre "C'est Noël, c'est Noël, c'est Noël" est entrée dans le classement... le jour de Noël ! Quelle ironie ! Sinon, de cette année 1988, je retient surtout le retour en grâce de Maxime le Forestier après plusieurs années de traversée du désert.
