Three Germans were sitting on a train in 1946. After a long awkward silence the youngest German spoke up. "Stop looking at me like that! I received the Iron Cross for heroics at Hürtgen Forest." The middle aged German scoffed, and replied "So what? I got the Military Merit Cross at Passchendaele for courage and bravery." Then the elderly German looked up and responded; "I was at the Battle of Sedan and Siege of Paris and I didn't receive any medals. But at least we won the damn war."

For me, the france just joined the WW1 to destroy germany after that war, like.. the french got obsessed to destroy them, Franco prussian war: french lost WW1: Germany lost WW2: 1940: France gets annexed. its like an cycle for me.

Germany was the attacker in WW1 though, so it doesnt really work. They also violated the treaties from the Franco-Prussian War

@@I-like-history yeah sometimes i think they shouldve just waited and let the french declare war. at the end it doesnt really matter who declared since they were going to war anyways but it sure gave the entante a good excuse to lay all blame on germany

by 1914 the franco prussian war had all but been forgotten. Now, it got resurrected when the war started to give extra fuel.

Par battre tu parles de bataille ou de guerre . Pour ce qui est des batailles évidemment que si la France a vaincu l'Allemagne à de nombreuses reprises, tout comme l'Allemagne ont vaincu de nombreuses fois donc compliquées de dir que telle ou telle armée est la meilleure, tout dépens de l'époque. Par contre pour ce qui est de guerre bas aucun des deux étant donné que toutes les guerres qui les ont opposées incluaient des alliés. Donc encor une fois Compliqué de départager mais on peut dire que le score est à peut près de 2 à 2 ( guerre napoléonienne et 1er GM pour la France et 1870 et 2ème GM pour l'Allemagne, même si pour la 2ème GM c'est plus compliqué que sa ). En espérant avoir pu apporter un peu de nuance à ton propos.
