Hello from Volgograd! Very cool and atmospheric video! It was a REALLY massive and bloody battle. We have a little of pre-war structures left, after the war the city was literally built anew. Btw the Motherland Calls monument is very impressive

Я смотрел топографические карты Сталинграда, к примеру спутниковый снимок 65-го года: Волга осушилась, что грустно, как и другие мелкие речки которые впадали в Волгу тоже почти все высохли. Также многие заводы полуразрушены после развала СССР, к примеру Химзавод Кирова, или Тракторный завод. Столько изменилось за эти годы.

@@michaelram3411 вы правы лишь от части помощь запада была весомой но по ленд-лизу поставлялось ни танки ни самолёты по крайней мере не достаточном количестве чтобы весомо повлиять на ход боевых действий поставлялась амуниция, боеприпасы, и тд.тп если сравнить произведенные ППШ с 1941 по 1942 и поставленное стрелковое вооружение то разница будет огромной Не подумайте я не приуменьшаю вклад внесённый союзниками во второй мировой но утверждать что Советский Союз выдержал натиск только благодаря США и Великобритании не корректно все Америка, Англия и СССР внесли равный вклад в победу Ваше утверждение о том что благодаря союзникам СССР воевал лишь 80% процентами Вермахта это факт но большую роль в победе над Фашистами на восточном фронте сыграл героизм и самоотверженность советского народа одно лишь число погибших а это около 23000000 человек демонстрирует степень самоотдачи простых граждан молодые парни переписывали пару лет себе чтобы пойти защищать родину женщины и дети без отдыха работали на заводах Ошибочное мнение о восточном фронте что солдаты шли туда с одним патроном на пять человек и устилали собой поля чтобы не дать танкам пройти А знаменитые заорал отряды не становились за бегущими в атаку солдатами стреляя им в спину а приказ Сталина ни шагу назад лишь говорил что нельзя отступать без приказа а мнение о восточном фронте как о мясорубке сыграло встреча Эйзенхауэра и Маршалла Жукова где Жуков признавался в том что не считается с потерями своих солдат и готов жертвовать ими не за что В СНГ его почитают за то что он вошёл в берли и якобы отстоял Москву и Сталинград хотя он не командовал этими боями Все страны союзники внесли равный вклад в победу во второй мировой А ещё вторая мировая началась с нападения Гитлера на Польшу

I doubt that Germany would've "defeated" Russia Keep in mind that Stalin would put every man, woman, and child in arms to keep himself in power If they did make their way into Moscow then it probably is the Soviet's version of the Battle of Berlin Then Germany was running out of supplies and manpower the Soviets would pull a France and have multiple resistance movements Russia is such a large and vast country that it would not simply roll over and say "Oh well Hitler got the best of us" Plus the myth that the Red Army just ran into hellfire is false, that was usually the penal battalions that did that

Actually the war was still winnable in 1943 for Germany or at least had a possible positive outcome. Hitlers refusal to effectively shrink the battle lines as well as urging the battle of Kursk which was unnecessary basically sealed it. Remember the soviets suffered major defeat at Kharkiv directly after Stalingrad in 1943.

It’s not even 1.5 million. The Soviets however lost 1,129,619 troops in Stalingrad which is more than 1 million.

He tried to conquer Moscow, but he failed. His new plan was to conquer Caucasus to get oil. Stalingrad was not strategically important city, it was just a symbol, because it held the name of Stalin.

@@ThreeCaesars ты не совсем прав. Сталинград связывал пути с кавказа и пути с остальной части ссср, если бы немцы закрепились в Сталинграде - Кавказ для нас был бы потерян и Гитлер добился бы своего. Сам Гитлер говорил, что он хочет захватить этот город не из за того, что город носит имя его врага. Так что тут скорее захват Сталинграда был важным стратегическим ходом, позволившим играть Германии в долгую.

That's the Russian version of Santa Claus. If you translate its name from Russian literally, you get "Grandpa Frost". He symbolizes the harsh winter during the battle of Stalingrad :D

It wasnt a racial war, it was an ideological war planned by both sides. Respect everyone fighting for his country

It was a race war. German propaganda called the Slavs subhumans. Therefore, the Germans destroyed Poles, Ukrainians, Belarusians and Russians. Millions of civilians in the USSR died not so much because of the fighting, but because of the atrocities of the Nazis.
