After Bogdanovich talked about the ending to the Keaton film "Seven Chances" I had to have a look, sure enough it's here on KZfaq. The sequence he mentions of Keaton running down the mountain with an avalanche of rocks following him is remarkable. However, Bogdanovich is REALLY exaggerating when he says there were "literally seven thousand women" chasing Keaton, I'd say closer to a couple of hundred or so.

He was ahead of his time. Nowadays people love to say "Literally dying" to a sightly funny joke and "I'm literally sitting here" as if it were amazing.

I read your comment about a thousand women. Then he told the bowtie story about his bowtie being pulled tthen said the whole reastruant pulled each others bowties but he jumped the shark when he went on to say then everyone tore each others tuxedos apartt...yeah that's it. yeah...lol

While Frank Capra's recollection of 1947's Life With Father may have some truth, it was certainly not the flop he described. If ithe movie had a disastrous test screening, the final product was a critical and commercial hit.

I liked Dick Cavett, he can sell you paper if he wanted to: Although Frank Capra is best known as the director of It happened one nigh, Mr. Deeds goes to town, ect. the Motion pictu4re academy, and the producer's guild. He worked with or knew socially everyone in the movie business from Mack Sennet. Chaplin & Keaton in the silent era evolved onto present day acting, with flair. How much can you ask for?

But so could Buster Keaton etc. It's safer today for studios sure, but I think Jackie Chan still tries to do a few.

@@jackclements2163 And Jackie Chan definitely reworked a couple of Buster Keaton gags in his films.

I have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Art Carney or Jackie Gleason? I don’t have Decades.

Another misleading title on the official Dick Cavett KZfaq channel. Are the people who put together this clickbait clearing it with the real Dick Cavett or just ruining a successful brand-name?
