I could listen to Frank talk all day. He expresses himself so well and his honesty is refreshing for a manager. I just hope his legacy doesn't get ruined because of the people above him.. His disappointment at not signing anyone this January transfer window was obvious.

He accepted the fact that we couldn’t get anyone he wanted during January and that’s why he was frustrated. We could’ve gotten players but he didn’t want them because they wouldn’t have actually improved his squad so he decided to wait till summer. His relationship with the board is fine

@@alfiewoodley01 I don't know mate. Watching his press conferences throughout January he made it very clear that the club knew his views and by the end January you could sense his disappointment. Ziyech is a great move for the summer but we really did need someone in January

I honestly feel January would never be a good time to get the players you want and if at all you happen to find one, the price would be over inflated. Though disappointed,I feel like Lampard knew this. Without doubt, I know the the club authority understand the areas the team is lacking and will invest nicely come August

Nice relaxed interview. It is hard not to like Frank. He's thoughtful, articulate, passionate, driven and all the signs are that he's a man of great integrity. I hope he does very well.

It's good he wants to bring in his own players and hope the club allows that, so far so good with Ziyech. Werner should be next in my opinion, since his buyout supposedly only 30 million euros. We have to spend wisely by not over paying and only spending were we really need, especially with FFP and what is going on with City and also the fact that UEFA already has a hard on for us. Werner, Chilwell and Sancho(depending on what Dortmund is asking for) or Boga. I'm personally against getting a new goalie for two main reasons........................ 1. Kepa needs time not all his fault, can't give up too early like we'eve done with too many players. You wanna point out this current season and I will ask you to look at last season and his time at Bilbao, if you did follow La Liga. 2. Why sell if it's going to be for a loss? We spent a record on him and right now no club will pay half of that, selling him would really be bad business for the club, especially with the threat of FFP, we cannot afford another ban from UEFA who seems to enjoy coming after us.

Ole has been backed by his board, he's just not got the same 'x factor' that lampard has. He doesn't do well in interviews. He makes stupid subs. He can't seem to get his players to play for him. You look at him in training drills and he's hovering in the corner not really saying a lot. You would do well to get Poch.

Top coach, but is that enough? I do rate Lampard, I think any other league he'd be in the top 2-3 coaches, but in THIS league right now? The managerial talent is so stacked right now if he got top 4 I'd consider that an impressive achievement.

For any squad and manager in the world other than City and Liverpool to get top 4 in the premier league would be an impressive achievement and for Frank's Chelsea to do it this season with all things considered would make him a world class coach.... so what is your point?

@@kennethjoseph8360 Well Boga has a 12.7 Mil buyback clause so that will probably happen as hes having a decent season and , worth atleast 20 in todays market. Chelsea have a tone of money to spend so I recon they will bring in atleast four more players. Also depends on how many they ship out.

Its easy to see that lampard see himself in mount. Frank also start very young and get critique at west ham. He move to chelsea under ranieri and after roman came, he need to fight with lots of big star like veron.

@zak we didn't have any wingers on the bench , too many injuries, and Giroud was not on Lampard's plan going forward from day one , he was suppose to be sold in January . We were in better position until November so Board thought we will get through this season 4th .

Frank Lampard is clueless. His appointment was a gamble and it’s turning out to be a really bad one. Chelsea FC will not qualify for the Champions league believe it if you not naive cos its just an obvious fact. I like Lamps as a player, but he is not developed enough as a manager to be in charge of a big team like Chelsea FC. This appointment will taint his managerial career in a negative way.

A short-sighted view. All indications are good right now. He's in his second season of management, and first in the PL. The team is full of youth, and they have a lot of learning to do. So does Frank. He'll make mistakes as everyone does, but I see no reason to assume he won't do very well for us. Win a CL? Well, not many managers do that, it's the pinnacle of club football. No-one can guarantee winning the CL.

Chelsea have been fighting for champions league spots since the 90s, that is what we do. What are u 12? Do you expect to not have to fight for and just cruise into champions league spots? This is the Prem, not La Liga.

@@beingantonio Lampard IS delivering on his promise. We're blooding youth, we're top four right now. We're through to the knock-out stages of the CL, albeit with a tough draw. What did you expect by this time in the season? Moreover, if you bring someone else in, what more can they achieve? No better, imo. Time will tell, but while we're waiting to see, I say get behind Lampard and the club. If it fails, it fails. He won't be the first manager to under-deliver. If he succeeds, we have a young manager and players who can grow for years to come. This is football, and there are no certainties. By the way, Spurs failed to kick on because of their transfer policy, and their contracts which are, by PL standards, on the low side. They had the players to build something, they had the manager, but they also had Levy. Levy is bottleneck there. Roman ain't Levy.
