This song is so powerful. Just listen to the words and the message behind it. And he is so right about people and society. The way things go. Makes me cry when I hear, "you're my brother, but your eyes are cold. You're my sister but your womb is bare." I do bet my mother would be proud of me but what does that really matter if I'm part of the problem.
@bazazam9 жыл бұрын
This song was actually made for Tarantino's Django Unchained, and this one was talking about the sufferings his black brothers and sisters had to endure. It would make a lot of sense reading again the lyrics. It could also be interpreted as you did, and that diversity of perspective makes this song better.
@s1eep3339 жыл бұрын
+bazazam you mean Django right? lmfao

+Danea Ford i think he is talking that the mother nature,that is the earth will be grateful that we existed even tho...whatever whatever...
@nolancavacini60128 жыл бұрын
+bazazam has nothing to do with that. He wrote it for Django but not because of black suffrage but for his views on life.
@zainabn95327 жыл бұрын
but music can be interpreted however the listener wants... That's the whole reason it exist, well it plays a major part. Bazazam's interpretation does have something to do with it, or could.

I revisit this video regularly and hope it never gets taken down or deleted.. Saw Frank live back in 2013, he ended all his shows with this track I'm guessing(saw him in Amsterdam). Seeing Frank live performing Channel Orange was magical enough on its own, but I did not know this song back then. I was just in awe for five minutes straight, the beauty of it reached my core. Best concert I've ever been to, and I am so incredibly sad that he never did a Chanel tour through Europe. What I would give to see this man live again
