I totally agree! The flow of the film is on a different tangent (and a lot better) than the trailer portrays. It's so insensitive/disrespectful to the film-maker to change up something so central to the film to make it seem like something else - on a TRAILER. rant finished.

***** It's Frank's head. They stole Frank's head. The film itself look entertaining but I don't think it's fair to Frank. If it was fair to him they would have altered the mask and changed his name. Conceptually speaking it wouldn't have changed the film. Rather than doing that they kept his most recognisable features: strange, bad keyboard music, the mask and the name and simply turned him into an American when the real Frank's act was largely based around him being from a small town close to Manchester. I don't think that's fair.

It actually has nothing to do with Frank Sidebottom other than the head. He isn't even british. Still the film is amazing. Its about mental illness.

Further more, you have to wonder how much of the film Sievey knew about before he died- did he give his blessing to the concept? Did he read the script- if there was even a script written by that point? In short did he know it would be set in America? Did he know he was dying and think it more important to get a cash cow for his family than to worry about his principles? Why was it so important to have Jon Ronson on board? I'm sorry but it smacks of bullshit. Fuck those Yanky arseholes. They basically dug up Chris' corpse and made it sing and dance in an American accent.

Billy Lenz But it's not about Frank! It's about a character loosely inspired by him. Look at the head, it's nothing like the real Frank, nor is the voice - Fassbender isn't even trying. This is going to be shallow hipster rubbish, and looks like a very poor tribute to the amazing Mr Sievey.
