Botev's commitment to that last jerk is awesome. With his knee almost on the ground, he still got under and got his arms straight.

Absolutely awesome thank you so much, have heard about botev's 252.5 kg clean when he was a 110 but never seen it. Crazy how big of increases he took in the weights, so amazingly strong...just wow..awesome vid :]

I was there and I will never forget it - one of the greatest heavyweight lifter of all time. Favourite of mine.

So a country gets booted from the Olympics and decides to clean up its act. Then they come back to international competition lifting the same as before. I just think its amazing how with just sheer willpower you can achieve the same results without cheating. Just like the lifters now, they do it all with hard work and dedication. That Lasha guy, so what if he served a ban he is back better than ever without the help of those useless drugs. It makes you wonder why anybody ever cheats when they prove that they can lift the same weights clean, amazing.

Yeah. Lashas secret is oatmeal and whole milk. All pro athletes are clean. There is no point using banned substances, coz you can achieve sub 500 total naturally

I' ve trained powerlifting as junior and I' ve taked two times in my life steroid cycle, but little quantity compared to current standards (not much as 150mg pro week in 4 weeks), but my personal best were broken even in one week. Then (after about 1 month after stopping the cycle), when I was weeker, I was ashamed, that I' m not so strong and very soon I made again this score. Only one of my personal best in 7-8 lifts/ exercises is ubeaten without doping - rest was beaten in about 1 year after using the drugs.
