Are you kidding me?! Seriously, are you kidding me? Everyone else take a damn seat and watch how it's done. Simply the most dynamic performer in the history of popular music!!! And there are too many reasons why to list them here. But here's one. That's a 70 piece orchestra with Nelson Riddle behind him and all you do is watch him. If you want to be great in any endeavor you have to know that you're great. And damn - did he know it!!!!

@Rabbit Gaming: As an aside -- when I heard the song “Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps” in the movie “CRUELLA” I thought the singer sounded exactly like Doris Day. So I looked on KZfaq to see if Doris Day recorded that song and she did. -- but they didn’t use Doris Day’s version, they used somebody that sounds exactly like her. So my point is -- there’s got to be somebody out there that sounds like Sinatra. -- maybe -- somewhere. It would be interesting if there was.

This is a time, when Frank was 50 years old and he didn't need to blow on any dices, because he was the owner of the Sands. Frank Sinatra was not a criminal nor a gangster like some people might have thought he was. This was all a myth. The mob came to him because of his charismatic energy, just like the rest of the world, who was addicted to him at the time. He was an artist, with a big generous heart. His personna was just a front or an act to all the rest of the people. ❤❤❤❤

I just don't understand how such emotionally driven and convivial music like this could be so disliked by people, especially when those people prefer music which contain no chords, no real instruments, no reverb, no emotion, no and no metaphorical nor melodic, but immoral and superficial lyrics.

Sinatra was at the pinnacle of his talent when he sung this. His baritone had matured and coupled with his life experiences at this point which were legendary, he's perfection. The orchestration is fabulous. The embodiment of swagger and musical genius.

C'est vrai. Frank était bourré de talents, tout le monde l'adorait, de la femme bonne ménagère délaissée par son mari, jusqu'à la dernière russe (qui ne l'était pas) qui avait pu voyager pour le voir. But... His band says much more about America at this time... It is absolutely awesome ! The orchestra is absolutly perfert... May be too perfect to be recorded within 60ies. But who cares provided joy is there. Sorry gents for my poor english...

If it's what you live to do, it becomes like second nature. You might get nervous about being up to it right before a gig, but for a guy like Sinatra the stage was his home. His instincts would have kicked into gear the moment he got up there. Most of us don't ever learn that ability, as it only comes from years of experience.

Frank Sinatra is one of those things only a few lucky people got to witness first hand. The man dripped with swagger, was an absolute gentleman. He also suffered from major depressive disorder, and possibly bipolar disorder despite that he hung around with anyone no one was above him. He stood up for minorities sometimes getting arrested, and he happened to be extremely vocal about treating EVERYONE with respect and dignity. He hung out with some of the greatest talents of the time, hung out with everything from steel workers to politicians and did it all with ease. He may have had his demons and downfalls but my god what a voice not to mention his phenomenal stage presence. He also had an air of approachability that celebrities rarely have. I think anyone was welcome to have a drink with him. He was gifted with this incredible talent and didn't let it get to his head and he carried out anything he did with class and style, every man wants to be 'old blue eyes' but there was only one and there will only be one.

I was born in 2000, these guys were gone long before me. Yet I love this music as a black man from France. I dont know how I discovered this music, but Im glad I did. Its getting me through a tough time. I hate the music my peers listen to, music in today is vulgar, loud and savage with hypersexualised hyperviolent messaging. I cant help but think our society as youth is a reflection of the music we consume in my generation. I dont know why I wrote this but a part of me wishes music like this would come back and bring the good times again.

What an arrangement. Sooo many subtleties from the violins to the harp, the organ and piano... and that's not mentioning all the brass that's simply just kickin' ass. Nelson Riddle's music was as made for Frank Sinatra's voice as vice versa. What an incredible combination. I'm thankful my dad introduced me to all of the standards. Study his use of the "dice throw" that happens almost on cue with a snare whack or bass drum thump. Besides having the voice or all voices, his tempo was incredible and he obviously makes it look real easy and completely natural. They also do not write lyrics like this anymore, which while sounding completley sexist? also seems to be a good amount of advice for both man and woman. Class.
