Knowing Drew’s dad was a drug addict and seeing the mom here knowing there is something off with her - I feel Drew has done a great job at staying in control and breaking the chain.

This person made her poor daughter feel like she was "out of control" and a "bad girl". Ultimately, the court decided Drew was better off on her own at fourteen years old than with her mother. I think that's telling. It's so unfair that the sweetest people seem cursed with horrific parents.

Interviewer- “is it true that drew was doing cocaine at 14 years old” Her mom- “no that’s not true she was 11 and 12 when she was doing cocaine” I feel so sad for drew that she went through all that so young. It’s sad when a 15/16 year old teenager has drug and alcohol problems, but when it’s a TWELVE year old child then it’s heartbreaking and she deserved so much better. I’m glad she was able to get help young and have the long and successful career that she has had. Sucks she had to grow up so fast. Literally acting like an adult at 8/9 years old:(

She provided her vagabond father with a place to live, and paid his medical bills (until his death in 2004 from cancer. Very generous of her, all things considered.)
